Transformation of the Day: Carolyn lost 60 pounds. This petite lady became concerned about her weight after getting married. On this journey, she fell in love with fitness and with how her body was transforming. Check out what she shared with us.
What was your motivation?
I had just gotten married on March 16, 2012 and wanted to do the exact opposite of what I’d been doing to keep my husband. So, instead of gaining more weight I decided to lose the weight I already had. The Question was, “Would he like it?”
What inspired during the times when you wanted to give up?
The changes I was seeing in my body, along with the daily compliments I received were my inspiration.
How did you change your eating habits?
Didn’t really change up too much. Still eat whatever I want, but in moderation (portion control). I cut down on fast food and started eating a lot of veggies and fruits!
What did your workout routines look like?
I get plenty of daily exercise, so that the weight stays off! My program consist of a lot of dancing with weight training! I would dance till I couldn’t anymore. I work out at least 5 days a week, sometimes several hours a day. I love lifting weights!
Starting weight/Current weight
My starting weight was 183 pounds and my current weight is 123 pounds. My height is 5’2″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
6/16/2013. My transformation took a year and I’ve been keeping the weight off for two years.
What advice would you give to others who want to lose weight?
My advice is never give up! Keep trying and make an effort everyday to better yourself. Take it one day at a time and eventually you will see results.
Thanks for sharing my story!
