Transformation of the Day: Carolyn lost 27 pounds with Keto and exercise. She wanted to be fit, healthy, and confident, so she invested her time and energy into making that happen. This mother of three learned how to cook for her family and still meet her Keto goals.
I’m 32 years, I have three kids, and I’ve lost 27 pounds in five months with Keto and exercise. My weight in February 2021 was 191 pounds, and I now weigh 164 in June 2021.
What was your motivation?
I was very stressed out due to the pandemic and needed to focus my energy on something else. I chose to put the extra energy into myself.
What motivated me was my health. I wanted not only to be physically fit and healthy, but I wanted to be confident about the way I looked and how I felt.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started back in February by drinking lots of water, the keto diet, and exercising five times a week. I learned that I can cook for my family but just eliminate what did not fit into my keto diet plan.
Tell us more about your workout routine.
I went from no exercise to exercising two times a day, five days a week. It changed my mood, and my health improved. Most of all, my family is so proud of me.
My workouts primarily consist of cardio for 45 minutes. However, now I’m at a point in my journey where I do cardio for an hour and a half Monday thru Friday.
What is your height?
My height is 5’2″
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
The question: Would weight loss surgery be in my journey? The answer is definitely not. The reason being: After I lost 27 pounds, I realized that I did not have any loose skin, so surgery would not be part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is that you can achieve your weight loss goals once you set your mind and devote your time to it. Also, I learned to love myself unconditionally, which allows me to want what’s best for me.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
I would advise women to start simple and focus on their diet. When they are comfortable enough with their weight and diet plan, slowly incorporate exercise, and eventually, they will learn to love it (trust the process!).
