Transformation of the Day: Cammy lost 30 pounds. A trip to the emergency room resulted in a new commitment to healthy eating and working out daily. Check out what she shared with us about releasing the weight.
What was your motivation?
Initally, my motivation was seeing how cute other girls looked and what they wore that I couldn’t. When I was younger, I was extremely unconfident. I knew that I had to make a change. Although my change didn’t happen right away, I definitely was working towards being happy with myself .
One day, I was rushed to the emergency room and you know what they told me? Long story short, I was advised to change my eating habits ASAP. That day changed my life.
How did you change your eating habits?
For the first five months of my journey, I changed everything about my eating habits. Water became my best friend. I cut out all pop and all junk food. If I ate bread, it was whole wheat. I also made sure to have vegetables and fruits every day, at least once a day.
What did you do in terms of exercise?
I worked out every single day, if not two times a day. I would sit in the sauna just to sweat a bit then I’d run at least 2 miles. I would finish up with a few leg and arm workouts.
Starting weight/Current weight
I’m not a fan of the scale, but I’m down a total of 30 pounds so far. My height is 5’9″.
How long did it take to lose the weight?
I stopped my journey for a while and recently jumped right back on it! The time span was just around 9-10 months, including my break.
What advice would you share with other people who want to lose the pounds?
My advice: Don’t ever give up! No matter if you fall off track, get back on it. Believe in yourself, even when no one else does!
