Weight Loss Story: Camille lost 35 pounds in 3 months. She went to the doctor for a tetanus shot and left with a prescription for high blood pressure medication. That’s when knew that it was time for a healthy lifestyle change. High intensity interval training, cardio workouts and healthy eating are some of tools she’s used. Check out her story.
I started working on my weight loss goal in February 2015. I’d gained 60 lbs in 2 years while working 2 jobs. I was eating fast food, not exercising and getting very little sleep. I was helping a friend paint their house and stepped on a nail that went through my shoe. When I went to the doctor for a tetanus shot and found out that my blood pressure was extremely high. The doctor put me on blood pressure medicine. I knew then that it was time to get my health in order.
I’ve dropped 35 pounds in 3 months. Although my weight loss has slowed down, I am still active. I don’t weigh myself. I just go by what I see in the mirror. When I’m happy with the reflection, then I’ll begin to maintain that size.
My meals consist of mostly meat and vegetables. When I do eat carbs, I have them early in the day so that I have all day to burn them off. I work out 3-4 days a week. One day is dedicated to HIIT and cardio. On the other days, I incorporate weights.
I started out at 270 pounds and I currently weigh 235 pounds. I’m 5’8″ tall. I use instagram as my motivation. There are tons of exercises ideas and transformation stories to check out there.
My advice to others who want to lose the weight: Remind yourself of why you started and when that’s no longer a factor you will have reached your goal.
