My motivation is myself and my health, especially my identity, in terms of being someone who commits to their goals.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started by limiting my calories to 1500-1700 a day, with a protein goal of 140 grams daily. I did not cut out any foods completely, but I limited my intake of carbs and alcohol and did not have “cheat” meals.
What is your workout routine?
I take strength training/HIIT classes five days a week and do incline walking twice a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 207.2 pounds, and my current weight is 187 pounds. My goal weight is 160 pounds.

I’m 5’1″.
When did you start your journey?
My journey began on Feb 1, 2023.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned to have patience, including accepting weight fluctuations. I also learned you have to measure/weigh your food!
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Consistency is key, but to have the mindset that you will need to do things you don’t want to do until they become a habit. Also, never give up on yourself.
