Bene lost 44 pounds by trading junk food for whole food and working out five days a week. She was unhappy about appearance and decided to make some changes. Her transformation journey taught her the power of self-love.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I knew I was not happy with the way I looked, so I decided to do something about it. The only thing that kept me going when I wanted to give up was reminding myself how unhappy I was.
How did you change your eating habits?
When it comes to eating, I stopped eating fast foods, and I don’t eat past 8 pm. I didn’t have any eating plans or programs. I ate a lot of salad, soup, and fruit.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I work out Monday – Friday. When I first started my journey, I used to jump rope 500 times a day. Since my current goal is to tone up my body, I don’t really focus on cardio like I did when I first started my weight loss journey. (I still jump rope here and there.) Now, my focus is on weight training to tone up my body.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 196.4 pounds. My current weight is 152.2 pounds.

I’m 5’5″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey on August 1st, 2018, and it took me about six months when I started seeing changes.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
Throughout my journey, I have learned what self-love is, and I’ve learned never to give up.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
The only advice I have for people who are trying to lose weight and stay healthy is to never give up on themselves. Things will get tough, but always take it one day at a time. Do not beat yourself up because you miss a day of working out. Most importantly, stretch and stay hydrated!
