Transformation of the Day: Arneshia lost 70 pounds, and she’s kept it off since the end of 2018. She tracked her eating habits with Weight Watchers and fell in love with fitness. Her faith and her commitment to living a healthy lifestyle keep her motivated.
What was your motivation?
My motivation came from having a talk with God about committing to a healthier lifestyle for a whole year back in December 2017. I’ve struggled with weight loss my entire life, and I needed this time to be different.
I think that having this talk with God made it very personal for me. I take my faith very seriously, and I didn’t want to let my Heavenly Father down.
How did you change your eating habits?
I joined Weight Watchers to help me monitor my eating habits. I also cut back on fried foods.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My workout routine consisted of HIIT and weight training. I joined OrangeTheory Fitness to assist with falling in love with fitness. I worked out 4-5 times a week and tracked my food intake on Weight Watchers daily.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight on December 22, 2017 was 255 pounds. By the end of the year, I weighed 186 pounds. Three years later, I have maintained a 70-pound weight loss through calorie counting. I also became a Certified Personal Trainer!
What is your height?
I am 5’10”.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I have not had any surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned was that you can always get back on track if you make it a lifestyle.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest advice I would give women is to keep going because the days will continue on. Why not continue your journey as well?
