Transformation of the Day: Annie lost 30 pounds by changing her eating habits and staying focused. This mother of two is on a mission to reach her goals. During her journey, she’s been inspired to keep going because she feels great, and she knows that her children are proud of her.
My name is Annie. I am 36 years old and a mother of two children. I lost 30 pounds in 7 weeks.
What was your motivation?
I was one of those people who really thought I couldn’t do it. I started this journey because I wanted to “stunt on everybody.” I am now motivated by how great I feel and how proud I’m making my children.
How did you change your eating habits?
I made small changes by cutting out fried foods and eliminating soda, juice, and fast foods from my diet.
What is your workout routine?
I danced or walked for at least 30 minutes 3 days out of the week. I am also much more active throughout the day. However, most of the weight lost came from changing my diet.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 252 pounds (plus some ounces), and now I am down to 222 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’4″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I have learned is that I CAN DO IT.
What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to any woman on this journey is to keep your goal in mind and love yourself along the way. Making my mind up every day to make small changes and feel good about it has been life-changing. I promise that you are going to be so proud of yourself!
