Angela lost 25 pounds. She wanted to improve her relationship with food and look good in her clothes by her 56th birthday. By working with a coach and focusing on healthy eating habits and exercise, she has made lots of progress since March.
What was your motivation?
I knew my relationship with food was unhealthy. So for my 56th birthday, I was determined to look and feel good in my clothes.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
Terry Starks, my coach, gave me daily encouragement and kept me focused with calls and texts.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating fried foods. I used Terry Starks‘ plan and decided to meal prep. I ate more protein, vegetables, fruits, and bottled water with each meal plan. My coach is a Certified Nutritionist who creates nutritional plans based on your body structure and body type.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
Terry recommended 30 minutes of cardio every morning on an empty stomach. I enjoyed walking, XL glider, AB Lounge, and treadmill.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 204 pounds, and my current weight was 179 pounds.
What is your height?
My height is 5’5 1/2″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey on March 8, 2021.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I want this to be a lifestyle change.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I have learned to put myself first. I also learned to stay off the scale because it’s how you feel and look in the mirror.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Please put yourself first and never give up. Stay off the scale, prep your meals, and stay active. Also, try Terry Starks for yourself, and you will have excellent results and feel better about yourself.
