Transformation of the Day: Andrea lost 100 pounds. She didn’t let medical issues or pain stop her. Portion control, walking and working out at home are some of the healthy choices she committed to. Check out what she shared with us.
What was your motivation?
I wanted a healthier lifestyle. I wanted to be able to get up and get out without pain. I was also facing lots of medical issues.
How did you change your eating habits?
I began by using portion control and that has worked for me. I also cut out fried foods and soda.
What did your workout routine look like? How often did you workout?
I knew I had to become more active. Walking was the main form of exercise I used. I was not able to run, but I worked out at home and walked in my community. I work full time, so it was tough but I committed to working out about 3-4 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 350 pounds and my current weight is 250 pounds.
What is your height?
5′ 5″
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in August 2016, so I recently reached 1 year of progress.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
Stay positive. You won’t get everything right the first time, but that’s ok. Learn to incorporate your new eating habits and your workout routine in to your everyday life. It’s important to create a plan and stick with it.
