Weight Loss Story: Anatasha lost 38 pounds. She was dealing with serious depression, a lack of self love and her weight gain threatened to keep her out of the Navy. I’ve lost 38 pounds since January 2016. I’ve also lost over 6 inches off my waist. My wake up call came when I was diagnosed with chronic depression. I was also on the verge of getting kicked out the Navy for being overweight. I started off 193 pounds at 5’7″ and I had a 39 inch waist. I was constantly tired and lost all self love and self esteem. I no longer had any self confidence and was basically ready to give up.
One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I came across a post about JJ Smith’s 10 day green smoothie cleanse. I purchased the book, followed the recipes and lost 13lbs in the first 10 days. Since that day I haven’t looked back. I continue to eat clean and low carb/high protein. I also drink lots of water. My diet now consists of lean meat, seafood and lots of green vegetables. I did a total of 3 full cleanses. I no longer drink sodas or any kind of juice. For snacks, I normally have crunchy vegetables, raw unsalted almonds or cashews.
I workout at least 3-4 days per week. I run a lot and I also do light strength training. I go to sauna at least twice per week..
I rid myself of negative people and negative environments. I also always try to get a full night rest. The benefits of this journey;
- I no longer take medicine for depression.
- I re-enlisted in the Navy for another 6 years.
- I have a lot of energy.
- My self esteem, self love and confidence is back full speed.
I’m still a work in progress. I’m still working on me. I no longer have a diet mindset, because I’ve a created a healthy lifestyle. I’m not where I want to be, but I’m closer to achieving my goals and closer to being the person I was created to be… Healthy and Sexy!
