Transformation of the Day: Amber lost 61 pounds by changing her eating habits. This mom of three was always tired and felt like she was missing out on life’s precious moments. She adopted a new lifestyle that benefits her and her family.
I am a mom of three, and I have lost over 60 pounds. As my son got bigger, I got smaller and healthier!
When did you start your journey?
September 11, 2017.
How long did your transformation take?
My original weight loss goal was 40 pounds, and I lost that in 4.5 months. Over time, I have lost and an additional 20 pounds.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was my lack of energy to be the mom I wanted to be. I was always tired, and I didn’t feel good about myself. I was not taking pictures with my children, and I was missing out on precious life moments. I now have so much energy and confidence to be better for myself, my husband, and my children!
How did you change your eating habits?
I ate frequently throughout the day, having high protein, low carb meals. I also drank lots of water. I used a 4-component plan called Optavia that has helped me learn to create long-term healthy habits and now coach people to do the same.
What did your workout routine consist of?
No exercise was required with the plan.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 220 pounds, and my current weight is 159 pounds. I’m so thankful for this program that has changed my life. I am a better mom to him and my two girls because of it!
What is your height?
5’8″
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The timing of when to eat and how often you eat.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
It is okay to ask for help. If we knew how to do it, it would have been done already! It’s okay to invest in yourself. You deserve it! When we feel better for ourselves, we are better for those around us!
