Weight Loss Story: Alexandra lost 48 pounds. She’s been working on her transformation since March 2016. Once the results started to show up, she was hooked and she doesn’t plan on turning back. Check out how she did it.
Hi, My name is Alexandra and I’m 25 years old. A lot can happen in one 1 year. I’ve lost 48 pounds and my motivation was myself. I was motivated by the way I started to feel when I saw my progress photos. I knew that I had to keep going. I began gaining my confidence back. I was also motivated by training to become a corrections officer.
My starting weight was 268 pounds and my current weight is 220 pounds. My goal is to be out of the 200s and reach 180 pounds. I stand 5’7″ tall. No surgery was involved with my transformation.
I changed my eating habits. I cut all JUNK food, pop, candy (my weakness), fried foods and carbs. After cutting out the junk, I began eating more fruit, lean meats, vegetables and drinking lots of water. I also started by working out 3 times a week. Then, I increased my workouts to 5 or 6 times a week. I did cardio, weight training and bootcamp class.
I started my weight loss journey in March 2016, so this transformation took almost 1 year. I started this weight loss process many times in the past, but never took it seriously before. This time was different.
My advice to anyone trying to lose weight is STAY FOCUSED and understand that we’re all human. You may slip up and eat certain foods. Just keep moving and keep your eyes on the goal.
