What I did to lose 81lbs in 4 months:
SW 281 pounds – 9.1.2022
CW 199.8 pounds – 1.22.2023
[Note: Alex notes below that she weighed 300lbs in the past, which is reflected in her photos.]
My day starts at 5 am with some quiet time & Detox tea. I mentally review my “to-do” list in preparation for my day while I have my tea. At 6:30 am, I hit the GYM for 30 minutes. I walk two miles on the treadmill in silence. Personally, I think that a lot of excessively loud noises & music will shape the tone of my day, so I even drive to work in silence.
I have breakfast at 7 am. (Yeah, I know that’s early AF, but hell in prison, we ate at 5 am, and the shit was cold. So Bih, you gone be all-right.) By 9 am, I’m at my studio. I prep my lunch and dinner and walk the dogs for 20 minutes while checking my texts and business pages’ DMs.
At 10 am, I do my 2nd workout of the day. I walk the flight of stairs in my studio for 30 minutes (18 steps carrying two 8lb weights, and I hate this sh** with a passion ). Lunch is at 11 am. This is my biggest meal of the day.
1. It gives me time to burn off the calories.
2. Dinner is at 7:30 pm, and this is my healthiest meal of the day. I will have a snack around 4 pm. However, if I’m planning to go on a dinner date, I will skip the snack so I can have a light bite at dinner.
I don’t drink anything but WATER. Changing that habit was mentally and physically debilitating cause Coke was my crack.
My last workout of the day is at 9:45 pm. I do another 30 minutes on the treadmill. After that, I’m in bed by 10:45 nightly unless I have a social event to attend.
I end my night like I start my day: QUIETLY. I don’t even take calls after 10 pm. I don’t want to talk to anyone that will trigger me because I’ve realized I overeat to keep from hurting a bish. Yes, it’s HARD. YES, I could have weight loss surgery, but I want to do it naturally instead. Yes, I’m excited that I have to buy a new summer wardrobe. My goal is 160 lbs by September 1, 2023.
