Update 2016 – We featured Nicolle‘s weight release journey back in 2012 and she is still going strong. She lost 67 pounds, gained a few pounds back and now she’s working those off. Check out her update…
“I regained some weight and right now I’m working to lose the last 20 pounds that I regained. I am focusing on my eating habits, because you can’t outrun your fork. I have had a lot of support from a trainer who happens to be on Facebook. I believe that this time around I am going to take the slow and steady route rather than trying to get the weight off fast. Getting it off forever is much more important.”
Nov 2012 – Today’s weight loss success story: Nicolle lost 67 pounds by eating clean and exercising.
She said,
“I wanted to share my before and so far pictures with you. I started my weight loss journey at 244.4lbs. In the first picture (with the tanktop) I was around 220lbs (5’9”). I started my journey with weight watchers and am 8lbs away from my goal weight.
I needed support and accountability so I purchased a three month pass to Weight Watchers. In the beginning I ate a lot of pre packaged meals and diet foods until I read the Eat Clean diet book by Tosca Reno. My diet now consists mainly of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and beans…and A LOT of water. I eat 4-5 small meals a day and track everything I eat in a food journal. I make sure to drink around 100 ounces of water per day. As far as exercise is concerned, I started out walking and then joined a gym and did everything from the StairMill to spin classes. Now I mostly do weight training and speed walking. That has been important for me, only doing exercises that I enjoy and eating things that I like…I’m not going to stick with a program that I don’t like no matter how well it worked for someone else.
I am still a member of Weight Watchers and hope to lose the last 8lbs and meet my goal before the end of November (and before all of the holiday parties 🙂 Thank you for this page and all the support it offers!”

I am inspired by your story because I see myself. I once weighed 337 pounds and thought there was no hope for me. In June 2006 I had weight loss surgery. I came through with flying colors and over the next few years I lost 146 pounds. I was feeling great. I walked, I had pep in my step and fell in love with salads and water. For two years straight I drank only water with lemon and two splenda. I got married and wore a size 16 wedding dress that had to be altered down to fit! I was almost at my goal of 185 pounds. I turned 47 and the wheels began to fall off. I was perimenopausal. My metabolism slowed down to almost non existent. I was exercising, but the weight wasn’t falling off. I was saddened. I injured my foot and began eating all of the wrong things. Beating myself up because I knew I didn’t want to baloon back up to 300 pounds and wearing a size 34 is just too ridiculous for me to entertain. Now I am at a point where I KNOW I can lose the weight and keep it off. So I’m cutting way back on carbs and deleting refined sugar. I’m eating more healthy nuts, salads, and proteins. As soon as my injury heals I will be exercising again as well. Stories like yours gives individuals hope and restores their confidence in knowing that all isn’t lost and they CAN WIN! Thanks and you look marvelous…..

I joined weight watchers in Septemeber. I absolutely love this program. I have lost about 21 pounds and am looking forward to more. I started at 345 and my goal is 300 by Dec. 31st. Here’s the thing about weight watchers….You can eat whatever you want! I just don’t eat the full portion. Instead of 5 oz of mac and cheese, I will eat 2 oz with some salad and whatever protein I want. It keeps me satisfied cause I don’t have to tell my self no. Self control never hurt anybody. Don’t think of it as a diet, think of it like training wheels. I’m learning how to approximate what is the best amount for me that doesn’t go overboard. DON’T GIVE UP! Take a breath start small. If you force it you won’t do it, it’s your natural human nature. Are things in your life accomodating to you losing weight? Meaning do you have a lot of stress in your life?

I am a weightwatchers junkie, I’ve been on and off for the last 10 years. I have lost some considerable amount of weight with it to. First time 80lbs after I had my 1st born I lost 60. Now I’ve had another baby, and I got married and have 2 more inherited children.. I have been struggling to stick with it mainly because of how they have changed it.. I knew the old points system like the back of my hand. But, i’ve made the determination that I have to just get with it. I’ve restarted a few times this year, I lost 43 lbs, but I have 50 more to go. I also love the clean eating concept, and this time around i’m also planing on combining it with WW to keep myself accountable. We can do this! thanks Nicolle, for this story!

Great job on your success Nicolle! To aide me with progress, did you use the book initially or did you have most success with WW online? I have the books, but haven’t started following the rules yet.

I agree with you about WW. Some people bodies seem to always respond to it. For me, it stopped working. Now I am doing shakeology and Beachbody workouts like TurboFire which is a lot of fun cause of the music. You look great! I looove your dress in the last pic. Where did you get it? lol
