Ladies, Every pound counts! I love it that Tianna has shared her progress as she begins her weight loss journey. She is down 9.6 pounds, but she knows that it’s not just about numbers on a scale. Non-scale victories are important. Check out what she shared with us:
Hello! This page has been such an inspiration to me. It has helped to keep me motivated and inspired to keep going! I love reading the stories daily & although I haven’t lost as much as I want yet, I was inspired to submit my small victory so far!
I started this weight loss journey on 1/20/14 after an ‘impromptu’ session of cleaning my closet & realizing I had 40 pairs of pants that I could no longer wear! That was IT for me!
I started eating clean, I cut out fast food, fried foods, anything processed & sweets! I do have my one day where I ‘cheat’, but I’m mostly eating lean meats, fruits & veggies! I work out 5-6 days a week; sometimes twice daily & I rest on Sundays! So far, I have lost 9.6lbs, HOWEVER, I have lost 8inches in my waist, 2inches in my bust line & 1inch in my arms & legs!
One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned on this journey is that the scale does not always predict progress! I’m obsessed with the numbers and failed to see my body was actually physically changing–ALOT! I look leaner, my clothes are way more loose and I’ve dropped a couple shirt sizes (still waiting to drop a pants size but the hips don’t lie lol). My pants ARE way more loose, so it’s coming, I’m sure!
I receive most of my encouragement from my husband who is my biggest support! Also, through my Instagram page where there have been countless strangers & some close friends and family rooting me on!
I don’t plan on stopping until I reach my goal! Right now I have no idea what that goal is, I just know for now my goal is to just keep going…..
Thanks for letting me share!

You can do it! Great job and good mindset! I do encourage you to at least find a body fat percentage goal and aim towards that. I had a pounds lost goal and a body fat % goal. I hit both of them but body fat is much more important. Those inches lost is VERY telling so keep it going! You are doing soooooo great!!!! 🙂

Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I really needed to see this today. I’ve been on a weight loss journey for two years and have lost nearly 70 pounds, but for the last couple months I’ve been stuck at a plateau, even though I’ve been working out harder than ever and keeping under my calorie goal. I had been obsessing with the scale, even as I watched my endurance grow and my clothes become looser and looser. What a great reminder that the scale is not the ONLY indication of weight loss.

those 9.6 #s and inches are quite noticeable on you. Keep up the great work and you’re right the scale isn’t the tell all. Your photos prove that

You are so right about not relying solely on the to show progress. Looking at you before and now pictures without a doubt shows visible results. I had to pull myself away from using the scales as my only measuring tool. Keep focused on the prize ahead and stay convinced that you’ve got this! I can truly relate to to you. I’ll know I’ll reach my goal and so will you.
