Let’s celebrate this sista’s weight loss. Proud mom Jaye lost 55 pounds, going from 215 to 160 pounds. Here is what she shared with us about how she lost the weight:
“My weightloss journey started when I saw a picture of myself from Halloween. In my minds eye, I wasnt overweight. I was so busy being a mom that I wasn’t paying attention to myself and all the weight that I was gaining. When I saw that picture for the first time and it was like someone switched on a light. I knew I had to do something to stay healthy or I would keep getting bigger and bigger. So, I started eating smaller portions. I still eat whatever I want, but not as much in one sitting as I normally would. I also make sure to exercise at least 3 times a week. I purchased some freeweights and started looking up exercises from the internet that target the areas I wanted to tone and slim. I started playing “Just Dance” and other dance games with my kids. These games are very good for a cardio workout. I started my journey on January 1st, 2013 and now I’m down 55 lbs. I was 215 pounds when I started and now I’m at 160 pounds. They key to my success is that I saw my oldest daughter picking up bad eating habits. I want to be an example for her in a positive way. U just have to be committed and motivated to lose the weight! It works.”

Thank You, Thank You and Thank You! This is So encouraging! Finally a weight loss plan that seems extremely “doable” for me. No drastic changes. I’m not able to stay with for the rest of life! Anything that takes the weight off and keeps it off will work for me!
