Transformation of the Day: Lena lost 74 pounds. Being diagnosed with high blood pressure was her turning point. She decided to take action and create a lifestyle that would allow her to live a long life and be there for her children.
What was your motivation?
After finding out that I had high blood pressure at my age (and I’m still young), that information motivated me to lose weight!
What inspired you to keep going, even when you felt like giving in?
I kept going with my weight loss journey because I want to live a long life and be here for my kids.
How did you change your eating habits?
I intermittently fast, and I’ve embraced a low-carb diet. So I stay away from bread, rice, pasta, soda, etc. I also drink a lot of water.
What does your workout routine look like?
I work out six days a week. I do cardio on my treadmill at home for an hour a day. I also do exercises to tone up at home every day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 266 pounds, and I now weigh 192 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’5″.
When did you start your journey?
I started this journey in July 2022, and I’m still going.
Is weight loss surgery part of your story?
No, I did not have any surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned the older you get, the harder it is to get the weight off.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
You just have to keep going. Take it one day at a time and be patient and trust the process. Understand that you’re not going to lose the weight overnight.
