What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My overall health was my motivation. I realized that my weight was negatively contributing to my mental health, and my mental health was contributing to my weight gain. So I figured if I could control those two things, I could truly pursue a healthy life, so I took active steps to make those changes.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started the Keto diet in May 2020 and stayed on it for a little over a year. Currently, I’m on a meal plan created by my personal trainer that is mainly low-carb.
What is your workout routine?
I train virtually with my personal trainer 3-4 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 260+ pounds. I didn’t properly weigh myself initially. I weighed myself after I started losing weight, and I was 260 lbs. So I know that I weighed more than that at the start. I currently weigh 216 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’3″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started in May 2020, and I’m still transforming.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Never be ashamed to start over. As long as you start, that’s all that matters.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Weight loss is a journey that never ends. So don’t beat yourself up if you fall off track!
