Transformation of the Day: Leah lost 65 pounds last year by working out daily and becoming a Pescatarian. She was pre-diabetic, so she decided to improve her health and release the weight. Now she has the discipline and nutrition knowledge to maintain her success.
My name is Leah C. During the pandemic, I lost over 65 pounds from April 2020- October 2020. I weighed 213 pounds, and now I weigh 148 pounds.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? My health inspired me to keep going. I was pre-diabetic, and I was overweight. I wanted to get down to a healthy weight and appropriate BMI.
How did you change your eating habits? I detoxed twice last year and cut out carbs, processed foods, dairy, and sweets. I also followed a low calorie deficit diet. I began eating more greens and wild-caught fish. I am a Pescatarian, so I don’t eat any meat, just seafood.
What did your workout routine consist of? I worked out every day, two times a day until I lost the weight. Once in the morning and the other in the evening. It was not easy, but with discipline and consistency, I was able to do it and maintain a healthier lifestyle.
My workouts first started with walking for an hour 1/2 both morning and evening. Then, four months into my journey, I began running and doing HIIT workouts for my evening workout routines.
What is your height? 5’7″
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? I didn’t have weight loss surgery, just a healthy diet and exercise.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? Health is wealth! If you take care of your body, it will take care of you.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight? Don’t give up on yourself. Health is an endless journey and investment. You will have some rough days, but you will have even better days in the future. You can do anything you put your mind to!
I am so passionate about helping others lose weight that I created a small business where I sell meal plans called LC FIT. I offer meal plans that give real results to men and women. Being healthier is a choice, and I will choose it every day. If I can do it, anyone can.
