My primary motivation for getting healthy was my children. I wanted to set a good example for them.

My workouts consist mostly of walking and just staying active with my children. I walk 3 miles about four times a week.

My starting weight was 196.4 pounds, and I currently weigh 151.2 pounds.

I’m 5 feet tall.
When did you start your journey?
I started my fitness journey in September 2020, and it took me about five months to lose 45 pounds.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I did not have weight surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is to appreciate where I am in the present time and to stop waiting to live life until I’m at a smaller size. I learned to love myself no matter what.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to anyone who wants to lose weight and get healthy is to be consistent. You didn’t get that way in one day. It’s going to take time. Just keep showing up, and the results will come.
