Transformation of the Day: Ty lost 50 pounds by adopting a strict Keto lifestyle. She wanted to be healthy and look great naked. As she transformed her mindset around food, she knew that her body would be transformed as well.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation to lose weight was wanting to be healthy first and look great naked immediately after. I wanted to train my mind in relation to unhealthy foods. I knew that if I did that, my body would follow.
What inspired me to keep going was honestly my family and friends cheering me on and supporting me along the way. Their support made me want to see it through and, in return, inspire others.
How did you change your eating habits?
I followed a Strict Keto plan. I ate under 20 grams of Net Carbs a day, high fat and moderate protein. I stopped indulging in high carb/sugary foods. I measured and tracked everything I put into my mouth and drank one gallon of water a day.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I engaged in low-impact exercises at first, walking 3 miles a day on Saturdays and Sundays. Then I transitioned to jump rope, wall sits, and planks.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 195 pounds and my current weight 145 pounds.
What is your height?
My height is 5’2″.
How long did your transformation take?
My transformation took 11 months.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned was that I can literally achieve anything I set my mind to.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
The best advice I can share with women who want to lose weight is to figure out your “WHY” and write it down. Once you figure out WHY you really want to lose weight, WHY you want to change your eating habits, etc., your vision will become clearer and easier to adhere to.
