Tiandra lost 77 pounds. Her goal is to be an active mom and live to see her children thrive and grow. Her turning point came when her doctor told her how high blood pressure, knee replacement surgery, and pre-diabetes could affect her life.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was my children. I want to see them grow. I want to be able to play with them at the playground without being tired or exhausted.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me to keep going was getting my life back. My health began to head downhill, from high blood pressure to needing knee replacements, to being borderline diabetic. When the doctor told me about all these aliments and the effects they could have on my life, I knew I had to make the best decision for myself.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in March 2020. I started noticing the results of my transformation in September 2020.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Yes, I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on August 25, 2020.
How did you change your eating habits?
In the beginning, I did a Vegan food and smoothie challenge. I was pleased with my results, and I stopped eating meat. I recently switched to Keto and eating healthier.
What did your workout routine consist of?
Cardio and weight training
How often did you work out?
I work out six days a week. I have major goals to accomplish!

I started my journey weighing 287 pounds. I currently weigh 210 pounds.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned to keep going no matter what the naysayers say!
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Always do what’s best for you and your health.
