Transformation of the Day: Yvette lost 89 pounds with healthy eating habits and exercise. She started her journey because she was tired of being unhappy about her weight, and she began to have multiple health issues, including PCOS.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I had been a yo-yo dieter most of my entire life. I was motivated to lose weight because I was tired of being unhappy about my weight and was starting to have multiple health complications. I found out I had PCOS after getting married, liver issues, and more. When I wanted to give up, I inspired myself with new goals and positivity.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by giving up meat and dairy (90%). I hardly ate out because I couldn’t hold myself accountable. I have used multiple programs to keep myself entertained, but I mostly meal prepped.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I work out 4-5 days a week with a mix of indoor and outdoor routines. I often walk in my spare time. I invested in multiple workout plans and classes like Zumba to keep me inspired.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 252 pounds. My current weight is 163 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’3″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey at the end of 2017. My transformation came after I started my health screening and had multiple setbacks. It took me two years of consistency to actually transform.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I did not have any weight loss surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
My biggest lesson was that I had all the control over my body.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
The advice would be to hold yourself more accountable. Scope out all your weaknesses and make a plan to turn them into strengths. Put in all the work required to accomplish any goal, whether big or small.
Whatever you do, Don’t Give Up!
