Transformation of the Day: Sierra lost 179.5 pounds by eating clean, working out, and being consistent. With her children and her health in mind, she has transformed her lifestyle. Once she lost a significant amount of weight, she started working with a personal trainer to address her loose skin.
Hello, my name is Sierra, and I am 32 years old. My kids and my health are what motivated me to be a better person.
How did you change your eating habits?
I had to change a lot of my eating habits. I cut out junk food, a lot of fried foods, and bread. I used a 30-day meal plan, which was focused on clean eating. I lost 26 pounds in 30 days just from that plan and working out.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you workout?
I worked out 5-6 day’s a week with my trainer. He focused on different parts of the body every day but made it consistent every week. My workouts consisted of cardio, weight training, and swimming, which is a great cardio workout. I did squats, burpees, sit-ups, pushups, treadmill, spin bike, etc.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My start weight was 376.5 pounds, and I currently weigh 197 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’8″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey on Oct 1, 2018, by just counting calories. I lost almost 50 pounds until Aug 2019, when I started working out with my trainer. My skin started to sag badly, so I had to start working out. July 2020 is when I reached my goal of weighing 200 pounds. As you can see, I am still striving for greatness.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I had NO surgery. These results came from hard work and dedication!
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned that just because you are going thru a tough time in life, you can always come back from it.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My best advice is that you can do whatever you set your mind to. As I say, “Anything is possible!!!”
