Felecia lost 31 pounds. This mother of four battled with the pounds for most of her adult life. In April 2020, she began her lifestyle change by going vegan. She also live streams her morning walks to motivate and encourage people.
My name is Felecia, and I’m from Buffalo, NY. I’m a 35 year old wife and mother of 4. I have battled with my weight for almost all of my adult life. I began 2020, weighing 317 pounds and wearing a size 3X t-shirt. Today, I can wear an XL t-shirt, and I weigh 286 pounds.
After lots of consideration, I became a Vegan on 4/25/2020, but that only knocked off 3 pounds. I quickly realized that cutting out meat and animal products wasn’t good enough, so I began walking the park at the end of May. I started with very short walks. Then, I gradually increased my distance, and now I walk 5 miles per day.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me was the fact that my morning walks were encouraging and inspiring so many other people to do the same. When I went to the park, I’d go live on Facebook for the first few minutes to encourage my viewers to get up and get active.
How often do you workout?
My morning walks are 5-6 days per week.

I am 5 feet, 7 inches tall.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you can truly do whatever you set your mind to. It all begins with a made-up mind.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to another woman who desires to lose weight is to just get up and begin. If it’s an extra trip up and down the stairs, a walk around the block, or a trip to the park, get started. It gets easier once you begin. You CAN do it!
I’m grateful to God for the strength to push past how I feel. I pray I can motivate and encourage someone else.
