Destiny lost 53 pounds with Keto and exercise. In the past, she tried losing weight several times, but she was hooked after she found out about Keto. The results she achieved inspired her to keep going.
I started Keto in January 2019, as it was introduced to me by an old friend. I have lost 53 pounds in total. I’m unsure what my current weight is, but I believe it is 157 pounds.
Although I did not plan to be Keto long-term, it has changed my eating habits and confidence! Now, I’m challenging myself to be raw vegan for 30 days, along with a group of women.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I started because I tried to lose weight several different times and was unsuccessful. I was introduced to a Keto page on Instagram, and I was hooked. I was inspired to keep going because of my weight loss transformation pictures.
How did you change your eating habits?
As I transitioned to Keto, I cut out starchy foods such as potatoes and bread. I incorporated some low carb options such as Missions Wraps. I heavily relied on those. I also ate more vegetables with my dinner and air-fried options.
What does your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My workout routine consisted of dance cardio and random arm, leg, or core days. I worked out at least 3-4 times a week.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson I’ve learned is that a cheat day isn’t going to undo all of the hard work I’ve done. Some days, I’ve simply earned it.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
The advice I would share is to take transformation pictures, refrain from comparing yourself, and just do it!
