Update April 2021: Robin shared with us how she lost 50 pounds. However, during the holidays, she regained 15-20 pounds. She wrote in to share how she got back on track with her eating and fitness plan. This time she tracked her waist measurement instead of pounds.
I initially lost 50 pounds. Then I gained about 15-20 back over the holidays. I tracked only my waist measurement this time around. I started at 31.5 inches, and I am now at 28 inches. I developed a personalized meal and fitness plan for myself to shed the extra weight quickly. The span of time between the pictures I’m going to share is about one month.
What is your current weight?
I currently weigh 150 pounds.
How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
To shed the excess weight, I prioritized protein and did not consume processed foods. As far as exercise, strength training has changed my life. I feel more physically fit than I have ever!
Of the lessons you’ve learned on your journey, which one stands out the most at this point?
I’ve learned that this journey towards optimal health is for life!
Would you like to offer any new or different advice to women who want to lose weight?
My advice would be that weight loss is not easy, but don’t give up. Also, it’s ok to have some help along the way.

Robin lost 50 pounds. After experiencing a Traumatic Brain Injury in 2019, this mother of 2 decided it was time to start her transformation journey. Intermittent fasting and becoming a Pescatarian worked for her.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was to prove everyone wrong and let them know I could come back from my injury. I experienced a Traumatic Brain Injury in July 2019.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My two beautiful children will always keep me motivated, no matter what is going on.
How did you change your eating habits?
I began doing Intermittent Fasting and became a Pescatarian. I do not eat red meat or chicken, and I limit my intake of processed foods. I drink smoothies and eat soups and salads.
My fasting schedule is a little tricky, but I go into full detail on my blog. However, the majority of my weight loss came from doing a 36 hour fast once a week, alternating between 20:4 and 16:8 in between those fasts.
What is your workout routine?
From March to May, I was still unable to work out because of my injury. I’ve been walking three miles, 5-6 days a week since May 2020.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 200 pounds, and today I weigh 150 pounds.
What is your height?
5’7″
When did you start your journey?
I started on March 29, 2020. It took me three months to reach 160 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that losing weight is all about mindset.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice would be that it’s ok not to be perfect.
