Torretta lost 73 pounds by working out and eating nutritious food. After being diagnosed with heart disease related to obesity, she realized it was time to take action. For the last two years, she has approached the process of changing her lifestyle with tunnel vision.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation to change my lifestyle included the fear of being diagnosed with heart disease related to obesity. I wanted to be active along with my son, who plays sports and ensure I am positively contributing to my health.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut out all starchy and sugary food. I was determined to only eat healthy options. I had tunnel vision.
What did your workout routine look like? How often did you workout?
I began working out four days a week with a reputable trainer here in Atlanta, GA.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 318 pounds, and my current weight is 245 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 4’11” and 3/4, but I round it up to 5 feet tall, lol.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in August 2018. My body has transformed every month. It’s consistently changing!
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, my weight loss journey has been 100% natural!
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
Consistency has been the biggest lesson for me. That has allowed me to continue on my weight loss journey.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
Just start! Don’t think about how hard it will be. Be consistent, and you will see results! You have to start somewhere!
