Transformation of the Day: Kiana lost 106 pounds. After several weight loss attempts in the past, she rejoined the Weight Watchers program and committed to working out regularly. She is determined not to quit.
What was your motivation?
I was tired of the extra weight. After years of back and knee pain, my body needed a change. I found it hard to keep up with my daughter, as well. After several weight loss attempts, I finally decided to do something and never quit.
How did you change your eating habits?
I rejoined WW (Weight Watchers) for the umpteenth time, but this time, I promised myself that I would never stop my journey. That was October 2018. Now it’s July 2020, and I’m still going.
I track my eating with the Weight Watchers system. My motto is I eat what I love, either modified or in moderation.
What does your workout routine consist of?
I work out 4-5x a week. I recently completed a 30-day fitness challenge. That is something the old me would have never done. I love Orange Theory, Zumba, and hip hop dance workouts.
Starting weight/Current weight
My highest weight was 267 pounds, and now I weigh 160.6 pounds. I’ve lost a total of 106.4 lbs, and 88 of those pounds were lost with WW.
What is your height?
I am 5’0″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned? What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
The biggest lesson I learned and my biggest piece of advice is to be patient and trust the process. The weight may not fall off fast, but if I keep going, I won’t fail.
Start and never stop. Motivation comes and goes, but dedication and consistency will help you reach your goals.
