Joyce lost 32 pounds. She felt like a stranger in her own body, so she decided to make a change. She developed the drive and discipline to switch up her eating habits and workout regularly. Now, she is halfway to her goal and feeling great.
I started my journey at my highest weight of 265 pounds. That’s damn near 300 pounds️. I felt like a stranger in my own body, and I didn’t recognize my reflection. When I would see photos of myself, I was disgusted. I didn’t know who that was in those pictures and as a person who was pretty confident that was hard.
Now, I am 32 pounds down and happy. I’m halfway to my goal. Through this journey, I’ve learned that if you have discipline, drive, and determination, nothing is impossible.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
October 2019. I still not at my goal weight, but it took about four months to see the results I wanted.
How did you change your eating habits?
Yes, I ate more clean. I stopped eating junk food and did a low carb diet (but definitely not keto).
With my first 20 pounds, I did a six-week course with The Camp Transformation Center. They gave me a strict meal plan to follow. After the six weeks were over, I continued to watch my food intake, eat less take out, and I ate more home-cooked meals.
What did your workout routine consist of?
HITT workouts and some cardio.
How often did you workout?
Five times a week, 1-2 hours a day.
What is your current weight?
233 pounds
What is your height?
5’7″
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Dedicated is the key. You can be motivated all you want, but motivation is just 10% of it. The other 90% is dedication.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
You are going to mess up. Don’t beat yourself up. Just start over and go ten times harder because when you stop, you are only hurting yourself.
