Transformation of the Day: Aunyx lost 95 pounds. Her mother died early from diabetes complications, and she didn’t want to suffer the same fate. After having weight loss surgery, she used a combination of Intermittent Fasting, meal prep, and Keto to release the weight. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
To not die early, as my mother did at 45 from diabetes. To look good in the clothes I like to buy. To make a difference in someone else’s life by being an example and practicing what I preach.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I’ve come too far to go back. I fall off constantly. However, having a meal prep business and being the author of a cookbook about my weight loss journey, I could never turn back. Not only would that disappoint me, but my customers and followers as well.
When did you start your journey?
I had Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery on 3/1/17.
How did you change your eating habits?
It began with finding healthy foods that not only look good but taste good too, so I would not get bored. I also started meal prepping so I could always be prepared.
My plan is a mix of Intermittent Fasting, meal prepping, and Keto. I stopped eating meat for a while, and it did help with consistency. I felt that if I could commit to no meat for almost a year, I can commit to anything.
What did your workout routine look like?
I have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, so working out is a challenge. I recently started kickboxing and pushing myself. I work out 3 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 280 pounds, and my current weight is 185 pounds. My lowest weight was 169 pounds.
What is your height?
5’2
How long did your transformation take?
It’s a never-ending process. I lose, I gain.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
Discipline is not for the weak. I also learned to always pay it forward. Now, I have dedicated my life and career to helping others get on the right path.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
Get a great support system. If you don’t have one, try Overeaters Anonymous.
