Quinci lost 45 pounds. She changed her portion sizes, worked out at the Senior Center and became her own biggest cheerleader. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was my health. I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in both of my knees. I used a Scooter and canes to walk.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my portion sizes, and I stopped eating after 8 pm.
What was your workout routine?
I found a trainer who helped me for the first part of the journey. I also started doing Senior Cardio class, and I participated in Silver Sneaker classes at a Senior Center
What was your starting weight and what is your current weight?
My starting weight was 245.8 pounds and my current weight is 200.4 pounds. My height is 5’1″.
What did you start your journey?
I started my journey on June 12, 2018. In February 2019, I reached my current weight. Now, I have joined WW (Weight Watchers), and I continue to work out to achieve my final goal.
What advice would you like to share?
My advice is to stay focused and be your biggest encourager. Don’t throw in the towel. Just keep pushing yourself. Even when the scale doesn’t move, keep moving.
I worked out three days a week due to my Arthritis. Now I am up to 4 days, and I’m able to walk. I even do boot camp.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned that it’s never too late to find your why. Only you (myself) can answer that question. The ability to walk again with my husband, who is 11 years my junior, is everything. I feel so healthy!
