Rhonda lost 27 pounds, and she feels fantastic. Post-pregnancy weight gain and back pain couldn’t stop her. She traded in her unhealthy habits for a new, healthy lifestyle. She had good days and bad days, but she never gave up on her goals. Check out her story.
Hi my name is Rhonda. I’m 29 years old, and my height is 5’4″. I began my weight loss journey six months ago. On 10/3/2018, I weighed 189 pounds. My current weight is 162 pounds. I lost a total of 22 pounds, and I feel AMAZING! My goal weight: I’d like to reach a weight of 145-135 pounds by the end of July.
After I had my second daughter four years ago, the weight packed on dramatically. I was depressed and didn’t feel comfortable with myself. I always had big breasts. Because of the extra weight I gained, my back was always in pain. I really never had a workout routine, let alone exercising regularly. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted to. Junk food was my weakness.
One day I took a family photo and thought, “WOW! I really gained a lot of weight.” I decided that from that day forward I wanted to live a healthier life. I joined the gym and started walking on the treadmill 30 minutes a day, Mon day thru Friday.
I realized that I need to get rid of my bad eating habits as well. Instead of buying junk food, I buy fruits and veggies. I stay away from any kind of fried food. When it comes to meat, I pretty much just eat baked fish or chicken. I also drink 8 glasses of water each day.
Trust me it’s not an easy journey. You have to take it one day at a time. I have good days and bad days. I wanted to give up so many times but, I had to keep reminding myself of why I started.
My advice for anyone who wants to lose weight: Keep going, even when the scale doesn’t show you a number that you want to see. Just keep going and never quit!
