Update May 2019: “I am still keto strong and have lost a total of 33 pounds in four months. I have hit my official goal weight of 135 pounds and I am going to continue to stay low carbs and patiently wait for my abs to arrive.”
Shawntia lost 19 pounds. She got great results by limiting her carb intake and going keto. Even though she has not achieved her ultimate goal, she is celebrating her progress. Check out her story.
What is your motivation?
Self Care! I chose to take care of myself, my mind, and my body. I refuse to lose myself and fall in such a deep hole again. My one-year-old daughter motivates me every day because I am going to live a long life and see her achieve all her goals and dreams.
How did you change your eating habits?
This progress is only from 30 days on a low carb diet. Cut the carbs, and you will see results so fast! I lost 13 pounds in a month by simply eating 20g of carbs or less a day. I DON’T work out, (but I’m going to start, lol) I DON’T take pills, and I DON’T starve myself because I like to eat well! This has been the easiest diet I’ve ever been on. Now it’s simply a lifestyle change — cheers to a healthier and better me.
I completely cut out all juice, soda, bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, and high carb fruits. I also used the Carb Manager app.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 167 pounds, and my current weight is 148 pounds. My height is 5’5″. My confidence has come back, and I feel great! I’m not at my goal, but I’m heading there.
What advice would you like to share with people who want to lose weight?
Just get rid of the excuses NOW! If you don’t make a change, all that will be left in the end is regret. Create a better, healthier you because you’re worth it.
