Transformation of the Day: Kora lost 190 pounds. During the last 2 years, she’s released the weight naturally by cutting out junk food cold turkey, tracking her calories and finding a workout routine that works for her. Check out her story.
My name is Kora, and I’ve lost 190 pounds naturally. I started my journey in 2016 at 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 429 pounds. I became sick and tired of being SICK AND TIRED.
What motivated you during your journey?
Thinking about my goal of getting healthy keeps me motivated. I never want to go back to the person I was 2 years ago. I also weighed myself weekly and took tons of pictures to use for comparison along the way.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started by giving up fried food, soda, and sugary drinks. I went cold turkey. I also downloaded a calorie tracker app and tracked everything I ate. I made these changes a lifestyle, not just a temporary diet. After I lost the first 80 pounds, I was I introduced to Herbalife Nutrition, and that has been a staple in my eating routine ever since.
Tell us about your workout routine.
Since I was morbidly obese, everything hurt. Exercising was not only tiresome but painful. However, I was determined to get my body moving. I would do line dancing at home and walk at the local track 2-3 days a week. At the beginning of my journey, I worked out for 12-20 minutes at a time. Now, I workout for an hour and a half.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that weight loss has no finish line. I had to commit to an actual lifestyle change.
What advice would you give to other people who want to release the weight?
To anyone who wants to lose weight and get healthy, I’m proof it’s possible. 80 % Nutrition and 20% fitness. Stay positive, consistent and have patience and u will get there.
