Update March 2018: LaToshia lost 3 more pounds for a total of 65 pounds gone. We asked her to share how she’s been able to maintain her success.
What is your current weight?
My current weight is 155 pounds.
How have you maintained your weight loss and continued to lose weight?
I maintain by eating clean, lifting weights and doing cardio. What works for me is prepping my meals 3 to 4 days ahead of time. Fail to prepare and you are preparing to fail.
At this point, would you offer any new or different advice to others who want to lose weight?
I would tell them to stay off the scale. Numbers don’t matter. It’s how you feel and how your clothes fit. Sometimes stepping on a scale can cause discouragement. I choose to stay positive and work in a consistent way towards the goal at hand.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. Stay consistent and focused. Continue to work on your discipline daily. With positive thoughts and actions, you will see results.

Transformation of the Day: Latoshia lost 62 pounds. Motivated by a desire to create a new healthy lifestyle, she started her weight release journey in 2013. Clean eating, regular exercise and letting go of excuses truly worked for her. Check out her story.
What was your motivation? What inspired you when you wanted to give up?
My motivation: I wanted to create a new life that was better than the one I was living. I couldn’t do that being overweight. I just wanted to be comfortable in my own skin. Every time that I wanted to give up during this process, I imagined what life would be like if i didn’t have to struggle going up the stairs, or how nice it would be to fit into a bikini on the beach without feeling insecure.
How did you change your eating habits?
I gave up sugar and ate 5 small, clean meals a day.
What did your workout routine look like?
I worked out at least 5 times a week doing weight training and cardio.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 220 pounds and my current weight is 158 pounds. My height is 5’7″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in 2013. My weight has been up and down since then but I haven’t gained a huge amount of weight. I would say that my journey took 3 years. I lost the weight naturally, thru diet and exercise.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
To stop making excuses. Let no one get in your way of your goals. You have one life and it should be lived to the fullest.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
That it can be done. You just have to apply yourself and make no excuses.
