When did you start your journey?
I started this journey in July 2017. It’s November now, so it has taken me 4 months to get here. I’m still not finished yet.
What was your motivation?
My motivation to lose weight was my family. My nieces and nephews are at a young age and they are very active. I want to be able to play with them. I also want to be around to watch them grow up for as long as I can.
What inspired you to keep going during the tough times?
What inspired me when I wanted to give up was my results. I saw so much progress on my weight loss journey that I just couldn’t stop. No matter how many days I did not want to get up and go to the gym or eat right, I thought about all I’d accomplished thus far and I kept going.
How did you change your eating habits?
As far as my eating habits, I stopped eating fast food, fried foods and sweets. I also said NO to soda. I strictly drink water.
What did your exercise routine look like?
At first, I was working out with my friends because they are very athletic. However their workout routine was kinda to intense for me at the time, so I went at my own pace. I work out 5 days a week and I try to get at least 2 workouts in on each of those days.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that your health is important, first and foremost.
What advice would you share with other people who want to lose weight?
My advice to others wanting to lose weight: Don’t give up. Never get comfortable. Losing weight is a mind thing. You’ve gotta be smarter than what your mind telling you to do. It is not about a time frame or a race when it comes to doing what’s best you.

congratulations since october 2017 till present i have lost 60 pounds i lost weight because my knees hurt so bad but now they no longer hurt i just learned portion control and to stop with the sugarery foods and carbs good luck you look fabulous
