Transformation of the Day: Ronique lost 150 pounds. This entrepreneur needed the stamina to deal with a busy schedule that includes lots of walking and working long days and nights. She released with weight over the course of 2 years with healthier choices and lots of exercise. Check out what she shared with us.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was being tired of being tired! I work at a hospital and I own a catering and event planning company. I really needed to be ready for lots of walking and working long days and nights. I also didn’t just want people to say, “She’s fat, but she cute in the face.”
How did you change your eating habits?
I eat less but I eat more frequently. When my husband and I go out to eat, I order my meal and when it comes to the table I put half of it in a to-go bad. Then, I enjoy the other half as my meal. I’m not on a specific eating plan, but I do cleanse my body once every couple months with some Phillips to get rid of some of that food that’s trapped. I watch my carb intake as well.
What do your workout routines look like?
I work out 3-4 times a week for 45 minutes per session. I do a lot of cardio, walk the steps and park far away to get more exercise in.
Starting weight/Current weight
In August 2015, My starting weight was 315 pounds at 5’3″. My current weight is 165 pounds as of August 2017. I even went down 2 shoe sizes. In the past, I wore a 3X in clothing and a size 10 in shoes. Now, I wear a size 10-12 and my shoe size is 8-81/2.
How long did your transformation take?
It took me 2 years to lose this weight.
What advice do you have for other women who want to lose weight?
My advice to anyone is stay consistent and be your biggest fan! Consistency is the mother to all the goals in life.
