My motivation was simply to be healthy and become a better me! I always felt so sick, sluggish, tired and ultimately unhappy with where I was. Prior to starting my weight loss journey, I was battling hypothyroidism and as a result, it was difficult to lose weight. It seemed like the odds were against me, but I was determined to do better. I was so tired of going back and forth to the doctor. I remember prior to starting my journey, I was so depressed. One night, I sincerely prayed and asked God that if he would send me help to do better I would do it. I truly believed He answered that prayer and led me to Fitness on Fire and I am so thankful!
A young lady who went to my church was a member of Fitness on Fire Online Training and had wonderful results. I jokingly said I was going to join the program but actually ended up joining. I did some research, looked at the other wonderful transformations they posted and asked a ton of questions, Lol. I joined, followed instructions and have never looked back since.
What continues to inspire me is the constant benefits I see! I received a clean bill of health from my doctor and am no longer suffering from hypothyroidism. Previously, I was Vitamin D deficient, had low calcium, and always had stomach pains. I recently went to the doctor and my Vitamin D had normalized, calcium levels normalized and I can’t remember when the last time I had stomach pains. Not only do I look better, I feel better!
I have also dropped 4-5 dress sizes, 5 bra sizes, and 2 shoe sizes. I had a body composition test done and back in January I was at almost 30% in body fat. I am now at 22% body fat as of May and continually striving to reach my goal of 17% body fat. I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried. I am truly living breathing proof that hard work pays off and true transformation is achievable. I am proof that if you want to do better in anything you can!
With the help of my nutritionist, I changed my eating habits drastically. She closely monitored my food and helped me make healthier decisions. I stopped eating fast food, processed foods, junk food (cookies, chips, candy etc.) and foods high in sugar and fat.
In the past, was a fast food queen. I probably ate fast food at least 4-5 times a week. But, I started to eat more vegetables, fruits, lean meats, foods with high protein and food that was just good for my body. I also drank lots and lots of water! I even learned to cook and make healthy meals. I meal prep at the beginning of each week, that way I don’t make poor decisions when it comes to food because all of my food is prepared.
I worked out 5-6 days a week, every week. My trainer customized a workout routine for me to follow based on my fitness goals I wanted to reach and I simply followed the routine. I did HIIT training, cardio and resistance training.
Advice for others: First it really takes a made up mind. Nothing or no one can motivate you more then YOURSELF. YOU have to want it! Healthy transformation starts from the inside then out. Remain focused and consistent even when it seems really, really hard because the journey is not easy but the benefits are so worth it. Most of all, get a strong support system and a team that can hold you accountable for your goals.
Fitness on Fire is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. They have become my extended family. They kept me accountable and encouraged along my journey even when some days I wanted to give up. They not only showed me how to drop the weight but gave me the tools to keep it off and truly make it a lifestyle. Many weight loss programs today say you can lose weight extremely fast or want to take all of your money. They may also withhold knowledge from you so that you will continually have to pay them money to stay on the program. FOF was nothing like that! They literally showed me a new way of life and taught me how to love myself. When you love yourself, you take care of yourself. I often smile and say FOF was nothing that I imagined but everything that I needed. I am truly grateful for the program and honored to be apart!

Staying motivated is my problem. I’m also an emotional eater. Buying healthy foods is expensive and every time I’m doing good something comes up where I can’t continue to buy the food or is it me sabotaging myself. I need help. My problem areas are stomach and flabby arms. What would you do different. Help me

Sadly Fitness on fire is only for America and Canada so the rest of the world can not get this service which is quite sad to be honest.
