Chante‘ lost 62 pounds by changing her eating habits and walking twice a day. Her transformation has taken her from emotional eating and self loathing to fitness and positive self esteem. She says that, “Slow progress is better than no progress.” Check out her journey.
I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life. Food was always my go to for almost any emotion. Whether happy, sad or angry, you name it I was eating. I reached my highest known weight of 232 pounds at the young age of 19 (height: 5’5″). Ultimately a bad breakup that led me to this blessed transformation. Through prayer, hard work and consistency, I’ve lost over 60 pounds in 7 months. I did it all naturally and lost 14 pounds within the first 2 weeks (no pills or surgery)!
I started eating clean and became vegan. For exercise, I walked 3.5 miles every morning and every night. I currently weigh 170 pounds. I started this process in August of 2015 and still going.
What motivated me? Just the thought of proving all those who doubted me wrong was enough to keep me going. My advice to others who want to lose weight: Consistency is the key. Never give up, no matter how long your journey takes you. Slow progress is better than no progress.
I haven’t just changed the numbers on the scale. I changed my life forever. I’m no longer the girl who tries to avoid looking at herself in mirrors. I’m no longer the girl that wanted to die because she hated herself so much. I’m no longer the girl who tried to beg her mom not to make her go to prom because she thought she was too fat and ugly. I’m no longer my own enemy.
I’m sharing my story to help motivate others in the weight loss community reach their goals. I want to let everyone know that if I can do it ,so can you.
