Transformation of the Day: Chavas lost 41 pounds. Being overweight was becoming very uncomfortable for her, in terms of work duties and issues with breathing at night. She decided to move out of her comfort zone by changing her mindset and embracing healthy habits. Check out what she shared about how she released the weight.
Hard work, willpower, motivation, and dedication have given me the strength to lose a total of 41 pounds and 6 dress sizes. When I first began my weight loss journey, I weighed 242lbs. I was very uncomfortable and miserable. My weight made it very difficult for me to breathe at night and perform everday task at work.
It didn’t take long before I became very uncomfortable with living life that way. After I received a promotion as a Manager, I had more responsibility. This increased responsibility involved more walking, more standing and more moving. Truthfully, I was only half way capable of completing any of the three for a long period of time. Then one day, I had a heart to heart with one of my associates. She shared her success story of losing over 100lbs. Little did I know, that her story would inspire me to restart my Weight Loss Journey once and for all.
I started embarking on my journey by taking small steps. I cut out all fast food, junk foods, and any foods that were known to make me gain weight. Now, I only drink water, which helped cut out over 300 calories from my diet alone.
I also began my journey by exercising 5-6 days a week in the morning with walking for 30 minutes. On most days, I did fasted cardio. That’s when you exercise on an empty stomach which allows your body to use stored fat as energy. Now, I workout 6 days a week in the afternoon or morning. It all depends on my current work schedule. I also used the Intermittent Fasting method to help accelerate my weight loss. This method has reprogrammed my body’s metabolism and help lessen the amount of food I would normally overindulge in. Basically, it has shrunken my appetite permanently. Currently, I am not practicing the Intermittent Fasting method because, I am following the Insanity Workout Program to help me beat my current weight loss plateau.
This entire journey has been a learning process. Throughout it all, I’ve learned to do what works for me, which is eating my favorite foods in moderation, incorporating fresh vegetables into my diet, watching my calorie intake (not to exceed 1,500), and Exercising 5-6 Days a week.
After alot of hard work and consistency, I dropped 41 pounds. Today, I weight 201 pounds and I’m 5’7″. I am still fighting to become a fit and healthier version of me! I will never give up!
I want to encourage everyone to stay strong and be encouraged. No matter how many times you fall down, have the courage to get back up again. You may fall down seven times. but make sure you try your damn hardest to get back up eight! Never Give Up! I hope that my story has inspired you to get started on your journey!

Thank you for sharing. Just started the intermittent fasting protocol and wondered if you found that you were able to lose more weight doing fasted cardio? I work all day and get winded after fasted cardio.
Thanks

So encouraging because your height and composition is the same as mine. I did IF and fasting cardio in the past but I’ve never stuck to it to see real results. Time to get up!
