Weight Loss Journey: Tracey lost 65 pounds in 6 months. After finding out that she had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was pre-diabetic she knew that she had to make some serious changes to her lifestyle. Check out her story.
I lost 65 pounds in 6 months with healthy eating and daily exercise. My motivation came when my doctor told me that I had high cholesterol, high blood pressure and that I was pre-diabetic. I was always tired and had no energy. I could barley could walk without getting out of breath. I took the diagnosis seriously and changed my lifestyle. I still have a long way to go, but I’m feeling so much better now. I’ve gone from a size 20/22 to a size 12/14.
I changed my eating habits. I went from eating junk food to eating fruit. I only ate lean meat, like baked fish, baked chicken breast and turkey. I also stopped drinking soda and had a lot more water.
My workout was walking or riding my bike for 30 minutes. I also did weight training. During the week, I would workout for 5 days and take off two days off to let my body rest.
My starting weight was 283 pounds and my current weight is 218 pounds. My height is 5’5″.
My advice to others is take small steps. Start changing your diet little by little, so it won’t be so overwhelming. Start off with light exercise and work your way up to more challenging workouts. Also, make sure that you take lots of pictures so you can compare your results. This path is not easy, but it will be well worth it.
Thank you for sharing my story. Hopefully this will encourage someone to get started with creating a healthy and fit lifestyle.
