Weight Loss Journey: Nicole lost 84 pounds. At over 400 pounds, she suffered a cardiac arrest and that was a major wakeup call. She didn’t take her second chance for granted. With faith and hard work, she’s made a true lifestyle change. Check out what she shared with us about her journey.
On August 23, 2015, I suffered a cardiac arrest. My heart stopped beating for 9 minutes. I went into the hospital tipping the scale at 420 pounds. Now, I’m down to 336 pounds at 5’11” tall. I still have more work to do, but I’m a work in progress. I thank God everyday for giving me a second chance at life. This time I won’t take it for granted. This transformation took me 6 months and I’m still a work in progress. I have 100 more pounds to go.
I changed my eating habits by eating more veggies and cutting out soda andjunk food. I also cut down on starchy foods and started drinking lots of water. I go to the gym three times week. On the days that I don’t go to the gym, I do a lot of walking. Don’t get me wrong, I have some days when I do cheat but I get on with my life and get back on track after that.
If you want to make a lifestyle change, do it now while you can. I was blessed to be given another chance. God is Good! If you have tried dieting and it does not work for you then surgery could be an option. However, if you are willing and able to make a lifestyle change without surgery, I’m proof that you can do anything you put your mind to.

Congratulations to you on you progress so far and blessings on your future. You are definitely a great motivation and I love the fact that you put in work before jumping to surgery. Thank God you were giving a second chance and thank God I was able to see this to keep me going. Blessings
