Weight Loss Story: Alison lost 46 pounds. At 21 years old, she was battling high blood pressure, vertigo and weight related health issues. Not wanting to be put on medication, she made the choice to restore her health. Here is what she shared with us…
The year before my senior year of college, I was 21 years old. At the time, I struggled with high blood pressure, vertigo and a number of other health issues related to my weight. However, I refused to take medication. Therefore, I needed to lose weight in order to restore my health.
I began eating more lean protein and green veggies. I weight train 3-5 days per week along with cardio.
My starting weight was 191 pounds in 2012. Well, in 2015 I have reached my goal weight of 145 pounds!! I am not on any medications and I’m in the best shape of my life. I use the MyFitnessPal pal to stay on track with my eating. I also weight train and run to build lean muscle mass.
I’m so thankful to God to be able to share my story and inspire someone else! My advice for others who want to lose weight: Drink more water, eat your veggies and don’t give up!
