Today’s featured weight loss success story: Tiffany lost 40 pounds.
Here is what Tiffany had to say about her weight loss journey
“40 pounds down and still going!!!! I am proud to say that after trying several different failed attempts to lose weight I have finally found something that works for me. My journey to becoming a healthier me consist of portion control and working out for at least an hour 5 days week. I realized that it was time for a change when everyday activities such as going up a flight of stairs and standing for extensive period of time would tired me out. I’m happy to say that my consistency, self motivation and determination is finally paying off.
I wouldn’t call my journey a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. I cut out all fried foods and sodas, eat at least 3-5 small meals a day, drink plenty of water and most importantly I allow myself to “cheat” every once in awhile . I would like to lose another 50 pounds to reach my ultimate goal of 170 pounds and a BMI under 25. Thanks a lot BWLW for motivating women like me to become a healthier version of ourselves & always remember that with GODS help all things are possible !!!”

Your story brought me to tears. Our figures are similar and I look like you in the before. I used to get so overwhelmed with trying to loose weight. I would try and lose it only to gain it all back by falling into bad habits. At one point I developed an eating disorder, while fasting with a church. I couldn’t focus on God because I was so hungry. I’d fast for three days, binge, feel horribly convicted then fast some more. I lost so much weight it was unhealthy.
I’m now more than 200 pounds and I don’t feel good at all. People tell me I’m attractive, but I just feel horrible at this weight because all of my old clothes I can’t even get my leg it! lol
Your pictures gave me so much hope because you testify that is is possible. Ironically I started my get healthy plan today. I worked out for the first time in a months a half hour ago. I bought healthy groceries on Saturday to prepare.
Seeing you further confirms that I’m on the right track, and weight loss is possible for me too.
With love,
QN

I also understand where you are at in this weight loss journey. I just wanted to encourage you and say you can do this one day at a time. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Best wishes

Dear Queen,
I know where you are completely. I am praying for you. Do it one day at a time and focus on your victories. Journal about your days or keep a jar and each day put in a quick note about 1 healthy thing you did that day, when you are feeling down look at the notes.
You can do it!
Tiffany says
Queen,
I just wanna say that little do you know that you have encouraged me THAT MUCH more to continue on this roller coaster journey that I like to call a healthier a me. I’m glad to see that even when you seem to get knocked down you find he courage and strength to get yourself right back up. I am here as your “distance fitness partner in crime” if you need me so that we can help each other on the way.
Remember ALWAYS remember that you should never look at this change as a diet but yet as a lifestyle change 🙂

Congratulations!!! You look wonderful and I’m sure you feel amazing! cold you share what foods you eat and the exercises you do? I do Zumba 3 days a week and just started the Nike Trainer for Kinect on Xbox. My goal for the next 8 months is 50lbs. Thanks for sharing and continued blessings!
Tiffany says
Thanks Chelle!!!
I guess I can start with my exercise regiments: I workout at least 5 days a week for an hour
40 minutes Cardio (Treadmill, Stair Stepper, Elliptical Machine)
20 minutes Weight Lifting ( I do at least 3 reps of 20 with 15second breaks in between reps)
Now to my favorite snake foods: Wheat Thins & Cheddar Cheese, Pistachios, Laughing Cow Cheese *Queso Fresco* and Cucumbers and Vinegar. I also enjoy Seafood, Chicken ( pretty much any type of way lol) and Lean beef on occasion

Congrats. You deserve all the praises you are receiving on here.
It seems like that initial first workout is the hardest to do but i guess once i put my mind to it
I will do it. What advice you can give for that initial motivation?
Tiffany says
Thanks Tonia!! 🙂
My #1 internal motivation factor was “Don’t Complain About Anything That Your Not Willing To Change”. If you are REALLY ready to change than nothing can hold you back.

You look wonderful. A little change in habits definately do make a difference. I’ve started walking for 30 minutes every day, eating more veggies and cut out the fried food. I’ve not weighed myself but I do feel better. Keep up your good work, one day at a time!!
Tracie says

Tanya G. says
You look awesome. I’m trying to stay encouraged. I’ve cut out all drinks and breads. I eat mostly vegetables, grilled chicken and fish. I go to the gym 3x/week for an hour. I’ve been doing this for about a month and have only lost 3 lbs., even though I’ve noticed inches lost. Trying to stay focused but I feel as though I’m starving myself.
