Army veteran Nigeria lost 25 pounds! Here is what she had to say about her weight loss.
“Weight loss story: I decided about 5 months ago that it was time to make a change in my health. I have been out of the army for 6 years and had been gaining weight ever since (lack of physical training). I just all of a sudden realized how unhappy I was with how I looked and felt. I went and got a gym membership (I knew I had the discipline from being in the army to do this), found a work out buddy and started going to the gym 5 days a week working out for an hour each day. On top of that, I started drinking a lot more water and lowering my food intake as well as stopped buying unhealthy snacks. As of today I am 25 pounds lighter and counting.”

Way to go. I have the discipline of exercising but I totally have a snacking problem. Not matter how healthy I eat for my meals I have to have something sweet after. I have been going up and down within the 5 lb range as a result. People like you however keep me motivated.

I am the same way. I love love love to workout but I don’t know how to eat right. I’m addicted to all of the bad foods that I’m not supposed to have. I wish I had a weight loss buddy that was local so that we could motivate each other.

Your story is awesome I have been working out hour daily for 2 months and I drastically changed my eating habits I lost 23 pounds and 9 inches. To be fair I did include Advocare supplements with my new diet.

Congrats,
Love the story and message. I also am former military, Air Force. Gained a lot of weight. I have lost 35 lbs since July of this year and I am still counting also. I am also drinking a great deal of water, trying to be consistent with drinking half my body weight. We can do this with the help of God! Peace and Blessings to you. I want to post pictures when I reach my halfway mark. I am not sure how to do it. Is there info. on the site on how to do it or can you tell me? Thanks!!

I’m proud of you Nigeria…. I’ve always been athletic…but seem to struggle with losing weight my whole life. I’ve solid and I wanna say big boned but I’ve been told it’s no such thing as big bone!!! I’ve changed my eating habits and I’ve learned to be good friends with water. Yes, I said water!!!!. Water has always been a problem for me never seem to drink enough….which leads me to thinking this is probably why I’ve always had a weight issue. I’ve done a detox and changed the way I eat. I feel like through listening to others is a great motivation. I just wanted to know what you’ve learned about yourself during this journey? Also, do you keep a journal?
