Hey Ladies! It’s time for Black Women Losing Weight’s January Challenge for 2013! It’s a new year and a time when many of us are planning our weight loss and wellness goals for the next 365 days. I want you to start off with something that we’ve done before, something that has worked for so many BWLW members. That is GREEN SMOOTHIES! In September, we did a smoothie challenge and lots of ladies got great results. I posted a ton of recipes and you will be able to use many of them during this challenge because they are green!
What are green smoothies? ! A green smoothie is a smoothie that has fresh leafy greens in it, such as collard greens, kale, swiss chard or spinach. This is in addition to the most common smoothie ingredient: fruit of all kinds! You can also use various vegetables, fresh green herbs, nut milks, protein powder, yogurt, raw nuts, seeds (chia, flax), and more!
OUR GOAL FOR JANUARY: We will be using green smoothies for meal replacement. You will drink a green smoothie that is at least 24 oz twice per day to replace two regular meals. The goal is for you to be as full as you would be with your regular meals so you will likely drink more than the minimum 24 oz. Drink as much as you like.
What should you do for your other meals? You are NOT just having 2 smoothies per day. That would not be enough food. You will likely have a total of 3 meals per day. Eat as healthy and as fresh as possible. If you load up on processed food and junk food, you won’t see the weight loss results that you’re looking for. You will likely eat 1 more meal per day for a total of 3. You may also want to have a healthy snack 2 times per day. It all depends on your overall eating and calorie goals.
To give you all of the info you need to be successful I’ve written a new ebook to serve as your guide. I’m so excited! I worked hard to bring this guide to you for the new year so that you can start 2013 off with a bang and kick start your weight loss efforts. I’ve personally bought a lot of smoothie books over the years and I can tell you that this book is packed with not only 80 great recipes, but tons of information on how green smoothies can boost your health and wellness and well as your weight loss efforts. Click here for more information on what you’ll learn in this book.
Drink Green Smoothies: A Beginners Guide and 80 Great Recipes for Health and Weight Release
By Black Women Losing Weight Founder, Ebony “Ajima” Jackson
Get my new ebook today for just $7.99.
Get yours today! Download the PDF and read it on your computer (on on your iPhone with the Adobe Reader app).
I will also be posting a new green smoothie recipe each day so that you have a lot of options to try. I offer 80 recipes in my book 40 basic recipes and 40 more advanced recipes with more ingredients. I will post as much info as I can to help you be successful.
Exercise Challenge: Your goal for January will be to engage in some type of movement or exercise for at least 1 hour per day for 3-4 days per week at a minimum. Many of you are doing far more than this so I suggest you step up your game intensity wise or time wise (extra 15-30 min of exercise). If you haven’t been exercising, the beginning of the new year is an awesome time to start. Play outside with your kids, walk the dog, use a workout dvd, or dance around your house. Get that body moving!
STAY ACCOUNTABLE EACH WEEK – As always, we will check in each weekend in January on our online community and on Facebook to tell the BWLW sisterhood how we are doing and to get support. You will visit blackwomenlosingweight.com to check in via your blog there or as a status message from your profile. You can also post to our Facebook wall.
Green Smoothie Tips:
Tools: You will need a blender for this challenge. There is no need to get a new blender if you have a working one. If you want to invest in a good blender, I personally like NutriBullet or Vitamix. Both will really grinds down the greens and heavy ingredients you’re using in your green smoothies. If you are looking for a good cheap blender, go with those that do a good job with ice. Also, do some research online before purchasing a blender if you have questions about your potential purchase. I cover blenders more in depth in my book.
Try going GREEN: Green smoothies are powerhouses of nutrients and enzymes. The key ingredient that makes these smoothies so powerful: leafy greens! Leafy greens in our smoothies give us:
- lots of chlorophyll. This helps to purify our blood, enhance our immune system, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and rejuvenate the body.
- lots of fiber, which helps improve digestion & keep you regular. Being regular is KEY to detoxing the body. Fiber also helps the liver, kidneys, and gallbladder.
Note: If you have diabetes or blood sugar issues, this may not be the challenge for you. If you are on a low carb diet, you may not be able to work 2 fruit smoothies into your daily food goals in terms of carb load. In either case, I suggest you try low GI fruits – green apples, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, tomatoes, or cucumbers. Closely monitor your blood sugar as you would with any diet changes and consult your doctor if you have health issues that would make this Challenge dangerous for you.
Questions:
- Do I have to buy the book above to participate in the challenge? No. There is a lot of information out there on green smoothies. I’ve just created an all in one guide and done the research for you.
- Can I use protein powder? – Yes, but you need to know what is in it, how many calories it has and how much nutrition you are getting. There are some great plant-based powders out there that you could consider. Utimately, you won’t need them because greens have a lot of protein. Also, most of the recipes I recommend will not have protein powder in them.
- What if I’m on a plan where I’m eating 5-6 small meals per day? – You can still substitute meals for smoothies. However, you have to know how much food/nutrition you are replacing. For example: You want to determine if 2 of your small meals could equal 1 smoothie in terms of calories, fiber, vitamins, etc. You will need to do some research to determine what will work with your current plan.
- Instead of water can you use 100% fruit juice or soy milk? – I suggest that you use filtered or purified water in your smoothies. Bottled juice, even 100% pure is lacking in enzymes and can be very high in fruit sugar. Many times it also has preservatives added. Also most commercial juice lacks fiber, causing the body to absorb it quickly. This can create unwanted blood sugar spikes. Nut milks like soy milk can be used. Look for ones that are unsweetened.
- What detox symptoms should I expect? – While participating in the challenge some of you may experience a cleansing reaction. This will be more common if most of your diet is vegetarian or vegan, but when ever you dramatically clean up your diet…detox can happen. When you introduce large amounts of high quality, living food into your diet, your body may take the opportunity to “clean house” by dumping accumulated toxins into your bloodstream. This can cause flu like symptoms, headaches, fevers, runny nose, rashes, nausea etc. Don’t be put off by this. Your body is cleaning house and fat is on that list as well. These detox symptoms may last 1-3 days. The best thing to do is to drink a lot of pure water and get extra rest. Also, you may constipation or have loose stools as part of detox symptoms.
Angel C. says
Can’t wait to start this, inviting my friends to try it too. Not looking forward to those detox symptoms though but I can handle 1-3 days.
Felicia A. Golding says
Hi
Where can I get the recipes for the green smooties?
I would to try this challenge.
ajima says

Jacqueline Daniels-Briggs says
I am a ‘Juicer’! Don’t mind trying new and great recipies. I do have one issue, I am a bulk juicer, meaning, I make up a batch once and then portion it into containers or freezer bags and freeze them. I then let the smoothies thaw in the fridge when I am able or feel like having one. Am I fighting a losing battle? Am I losing nutritional value from the fresh fruits and veggies I juice (blend for smoothies), freeze, thaw, and consume? I am not consistent, yet, but when I do it, I do see results. Just wondering if freezing and thawing is a good idea or not. Thanks and God bless!
Brenda D. says
Angel C & Ajima – I know exactly what you mean. I cold turkeyed coffee during this green smoothie challenge and have given up coffee before but this time I was sooooo much more aware of the caffiene withdrawal….maybe because now I was aware of such a thing as caffiene withdrawal and I tell ya……it’s highly likely that I’m giving up coffee altogether based on these symptoms. I like strong coffee loaded with sugar and just enough cream so if I can’t do that then why bother with coffee right….lol. I’ve substituted with green tea w/lemon and I add honey….not bad considering I’ve never been a tea drinker.
Ophelia says
A little late getting started with the challenge, but most importtant I have started. Looking forward to looking and feeling good !
Lisa Troy says
Hey Guys,
Can anybody recommend an inexpensive smoothie maker?I have a juice, which I love to death, but want to start making some of these ‘Green Smoothies’.
Thanks
Josette says
Hi Lisa,
For a more compact juicer I bought the Nutribullet. I love how it breaks down everything. It’s very easy to clean and store.
ajima says
Angel, I feel you. The last time I went through caffeine withdrawal during detox I swore off caffeine.
SoulBarbie says
I just made the purchase and bought the e-book. And guuuurrrrl!! This is done SO professionally and easy to follow. I love supporting black women and I absolutely love your website and your commitment to health and weight loss. I started 2012 at 253 and got down to 226 and the weight has been creeping back up-this is good motivation for me to get back on track.
Thank You & God Bless!! 🙂 <3
ajima says
Thank you so much, SoulBarbie! I really, really worked hard to create a quality book. Tell a friend. I want to really spread the news about green smoothies to as many people as possible. Such an easy way to improve your health.
Shante says
I really want to do this but I had weight loss surgery a year ago. I’m wondering about the protein amounts. Will I be able to get enough protein from this program? Tnanks,
ajima says
Hi Shante, There is a lot of protein in green smoothies, but you really need to talk to your doctor before you decide to do a challenge like this. I note that in my health disclaimer. I know that after WLS you have to adhere to a specific diet.
LadyChar says
Hey Ladies!! I am super excited! How many pages is the ebook? I am about to purchase, but just wanted a heads up on the pages!!
ajima says
The book is 67 pages long. About half guide and half recipes.
Michelle says
I am excited about this challenge. I will be 38 in 4 months and I want to start making some gradual but dramatic changes for my health before 40
Jazzy Donna says
Hello , I’m new to this and I’m looking forward to the weight coming on and doing this challenge, can you tell me what can I do about wanting sweet , I’m have a hard time with that …
ajima says
The most of the green smoothie recipes are sweetened with fruit and or sweetener. They will help your sugar cravings. Also, I suggest you eat a piece of fruit when you want something sweet.
Jazzy Donna says
Thank You
Vee says
I’m ready! I have been looking for a way to jump start my weight loss. Can’t wait to get started!

I’m super excited! I bought a juicer for my hubby and its still in the box! He’s just as excited and now I have a health partner to see me through it! Love the blog! Keep up the great info and tips!!
Renee says
To be honest I’m not too sure about this Green Smoothie Challenge… I’m gagging already at the thought of it. But I’m going to be optimistic and think positive. Over the past year I regained close to 60 pounds and recently began taking insulin. I keep telling myself I’m going to retake control but I continue knowingly to do all the wrong things as if this extra weight is going to flee my body without any effort.
I’m accepting this Challenge because I want to regain control of my health. Although I’m cringing I’ve accepted the challenge and have downloaded my ebook. I will be making my shopping list to ensure I begin the new year on the right foot.
Black Women Losing Weight…. this Sista needs your support!
Davina says
I have your back …
Cherron says

Mikisha says
Is the January challenge based off of eating 3 meals per day or 6 small meals per day?
ajima says
Hi, are you getting an error message?
Stillosin says
Yes I am.
Catherine says
I am so looking forward to the January challenge. My children gave me a NutriBullet for my birthday and I’m excited to start using it.

We need to support our sister and purchase her book. We spend more money in other communities… Com me on lets support our sister while getting fit.
ajima says
Thanks, Rina! Book sales also will support some of the other resources I want to bring to the community.
Nailah says
I will purchase it too! I’m scared to try something new but I will support my sister. This site has encouraged me!
ajima says
Thanks!!
Tami says
I totally agree! I purchased the book and am very glad I did. It has a lot of good information on green smoothies and the benefits of drinking them. I’m using it to help me with the January challenge….sooooo much better than scouring the internet looking for different green smoothie recipes.
ajima says
Glad to hear!

Tiffani says
I’m going to get a head start on the challenge before before I go back to work on January 7. That way my body can adjust if there are any detox symptoms while I’m still at home to deal with them. LOL
Juna says
I’m down! This is my first Challenge. I’ve gained 62 pounds since 2007 and it’s time to regain control of my health. I can’t keep blaming it on the baby weight (he’s 4……enough lies) Keep me accountable ladies….
ajima says
We can do this, Juna!
Angela says
I purchased the book and it has great recipes in it and great general knowledge..I am excited about the challage, I also plan to stop drinking coffee on the first day of the new year and replace it with tea…glad I found this site, I love it…..#readysetlose

Hi Shante, I had weight loss surgery 7 years ago and I have this smoothie challenge and you will have have to add protein powder to do meal replacement. Make sure to include your two snacks and drink plenty of water! You are still eating its just your drinking ur foods and when u start to get that shaky feeling it means you did not eat enough so have another healtly smoothie! Clean eating does not hurt anyone! It will help u maintain your weight! Make sure you are eating enough! Take your time only u know ur body!
Shante says
Thank you so much. I’m excited now. I’m going to give it a try.
Nailah says
Does it taste nasty? What is the best taste masking fruit? I have to lose weight!
ajima says
They taste great. Bananas and berries do the best job of masking any veggie taste. I would also recommend greek vanilla yogurt that is low in sugar.
Nikkey says
I am so excited…I have been part of this group since last year and have not done a challenge yet. It is time for some life changes and building back myself esteem. I am planning to take this challenge and take back the life that I have let slip away because of family, work, school…it’s time to put me back on the priority list closer to the top! Good luck ladies and can’t wait to start this journey with you.
April says
I am sooo excited to be starting this challenge it is time to focus on me i just graduated nursing school so now i can focus on these 20lbs and tone up but most importantly.live a healthy christian life..good luck to all the ladies on your weight loss journey
Syretha says
I am so excited to start this challenge. This is my first one so I can get on track with losing weight.
Thanks in advance for the support and guidance! I tried this green smoothie from Bolthouse Farms today is this a good replacement if I’m not able to make one at home?
ajima says
It’s better than regular juice, yes. However, the sugar content is much higher and I’m not sure about the fiber content. You want something that is very high in fiber. You may want to add natural fiber to it, like psyllium husk. I would compare the nutritional profile of that to other brands like Naked in terms of fiber content and sugar content.
shemikea says
I’m looking forward to the challenge I need something different in my life thank you
Teresha says
I am new to site going to try – I’m excited to try something
New that will define tlc help with the lunch cause
I am so tired of turkey sandwich and soup. Boring!
I will definitely be checking in for the recipes.
Roz says
Ajima I just started the book and all I can say is Thank you! It’s so informative and very well written. Awesome job girl! 🙂
I also have a question, is it possible to transport smoothies? Can I make one in the morning and take it to work for lunch?
Thanks for being a blessing to us!
ajima says
Thank you so much Roz. I really appreciate that.
Yes, I touch on that in the book but not in depth. You can transport them but you do need to refrigerate them. You can leave a smoothie out on say your desk at work for about 30 min before it starts separating (water and juice from fiber). You can shake it up. I wouldn’t leave a smoothie un refrigerated for more than 45 min. In a fridge or cooler it will keep for 24-48 hours, however I feel that most smoothies change in taste after 24 hours in the fridge due to oxidation. You can also freeze them for a week or 2. They will keep like sherbet.
Roz says
Awesome. I purchased these airtight containers for juicing but for some reason had convinced myself smoothies had to be consumed immediately. Thanks 🙂
Jada says
Does anyone one know how well the Ninja blender works for the green smoothies?
Tami says
My sister has a Ninja blender and she says it works very well. She really likes it.
Linda says
yes works well
Linda says
Ajima,
I purchased your ebook. Job well done! The best one I’ve read about green smoothies. I’m definitely starting the challenge on January 1. Looking forward to it and starting back on an exercise routine. Been lazy for too long. Time to get my health back.
Happy New Health to all!
Daimari Hoson says
Is the challenge for the entire month of January? I would like to do the green smoothie challenge but I cannot possibly do it for 31 days due to my budget and I have to cook for my husband.
Daimari Hoson says
Is the challenge for the entire month of January?
Daimari Hoson says
I am on a strict budget and have to cook for my husband. I won’t be able to afford two grocery bills per week for a whole month. I really want to do it.
Beverly Tyndall says
I know what you mean it gets very costly.Within two weeks I bought about 4 bags of spinach,5 bushels of bananas and i dont know how many strawberries.I couldnt keep doing it everyday.Too expensive especially when you have to buy food for the rest of the family.
ajima says
The best tip I have for you is to buy frozen fruit. It helps to cut the costs.
Geovianna Simmons says
Hello
I just purchase the book and it is full of information that is so helpful i was reading the newsfeed on face book and saw and exercise to do for three of four days a week (what is a Flank) i also wanted to ask I was involved in a car accident of the 5 day of december where I now have back and neck and shoulder pain is there any exercise that i can do. i just got started on this journey and have lost 10lbs i do not want them back so please help any advise would be welcome
thank you
Teri says
Question: I have a Ninja Blender, do you think that will smooth out collards, cucumber, spinach, celery, etc, for the Green Smoothie? I can’t afford the Nutribullet right now, but I don’t want to have crunchy smoothies. Please let me know.
Catherine says
Hi Ajima,
I have a question for you. Is there a such thing as a green smoothie detox? If so, do you mention this in your new ebook?
ajima says
Hi Catherine, you can do a detox, but I don’t address it in the book. You would need to get at least 1300 calories worth of green smoothie each day.
Shamara says
How do you join the challenge?
Janice Robinson says
I have purchased the book and a magic bullet I am placing this challenge in God’s hand I can not do this alone.
I have the equipment, tools and no motivation. Early in 2012 i started losing 25lbs an than I stopped 5 months after, I started eating anything I thought I wanted ….not really wanting it but i still ate it.I stop caring about many things mostly including myself. 245lbs terrible heartburn, bloated all the time…no energy at all..still eating everything in site..an going straight to sleep… I can stay in bed all day..eat an sleep. Sleeping my life away..
It begins now…no pills, no medical assistance…I can do this, I will do this..one day at a time. Starting today…detox is working from the smoothie..I am not craving any sweets(my weakness).
You help me stay motivated I will encourage you to stay focus..we can achieve this together.
ajima says
Hi Janice! We can do this. ONE day at a time, indeed.
ajima says
It’s a PDF, so all you need is a computer (laptop, desktop) with Adobe Reader on it. Not available for Kindle or Nook for a week or 2.
ajima says
Hi Kashia, are you getting an error message from Paypal?
Monique says
I got a juicer for Christmas, so I am going to be alternating juicing and smoothies but they will all be green. I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead on Netflix over the holiday and it inspired me to make a change.
Jeannie says
Ajima thank you for making this a great ebook love it what a great start in knowledge of Green Smoothies not only did you give great recipes but understanding in what good for the body, mind, and spirit. I will be sharing this with my husband. We love veggies so I see no problem doing the challenge for a clean healthy lifestyle.
ajima says
Thank you so much!!
Jeannie says

Tami says
You should get the book. It has tons of recipes it in for really yummy green smoothies.
ajima says
🙂
jomill says
I’m starting the smoothie challenge tomorrow, any suggestions for snacks other than fruit? Are nuts OK?
ajima says
Sure. Raw nuts would be best in terms of nutrition – almonds, cashews, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, etc
You can also have plain greek yogurt with fruit if you’re eating dairy. You’ll want to add your own fruit (berries work well). Whole grain, unbleached wheat crackers. Veggies like baby carrots, celery, and grape tomatoes are great snacks.
ajima says
Hi, You should have received an email with the link to download the file onto your computer. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam folder.

ajima says
We can do this, Rosa!
Denisha says
Hi Ladies!
I just stumbled upon this site because I bought a Nutribullet the other day and was looking for new Green Smoothie recipes – all of the recipes in the Nutribullet recipe book seem to include way too much fruit even though they sound delicious!
I’ve gained quite a bit of weight over the past 6 months and it’s sickening. So I’m ready to make a CHANGE…
So I’m going be using more veggies than fruits in my smoothies in order to cut down on sugar intake – like I did when I was juicing and it tasted fine to me. I will be getting your recipe ebook as well… looking forward to it 🙂
This site is AWESOME and I’m excited to have some support as we go down this journey together. I’m going shopping for my veggies, fruits, and nuts/seeds tomorrow.
I’ll be here every single day to report my progress as well as cheer all of you on!
Sorry I just wrote a book but I’m excited! 🙂
ajima says
Thanks so much, Denisha!
Mikisha says
I started yesterday but I’m not sure how to join the challenge.
Terri says
I started the challenge yesterday and the smoothies taste great…..I was worried. I purchased the Nutribullet and it does an excellent job! I am a snacker so my challenge will be to not eat all the cookies and cakes here from the holidays….it is really hard sometimes, but I am praying fr self-discipline. Good luck everyone!
ajima says
You can do it, Terri!
Cheryl says
I am new to juicing and smoothies, and I am very concerned about the taste. Do the smoothies taste bad or do the fruits give it an ok taste. I have tried the Naked Green Smoothie from grocery store and that’s actually not that bad. Loaded with sugar however, but I can sip on it throughout the day. Any comparison to the taste of the Smoothie recipes you give?
And by the way, thanks so much for this site.
Cheryl
ajima says
The taste is similar to Naked juice, just without the pasteurized sugar. You should start with recipes with very sweet fruit in them. Bananas, blueberry, mango, and melon are good choices. Stick with spinach, kale, and romaine to begin with. Then move on to Collards, arugula, and other leaves with a stronger taste.
LadyT says
Hi Ajima,
Does your book also include inspirational thoughts/comments throughout the book as well?
ajima says
Hi Lady T, No but there is encouragement and lots of facts. I’m focused on educating the reader about the nutritional value of green smoothies, the specific benefits of diff types of fresh food, providing tasty recipes, and showing how nutrient rich foods can help your health and weight loss efforts.
LadyT says
That’s good to know. I’m starting tomorrow. Thank you for that and thanks for this much needed positive and encouraging website. Keep up the Awesome work!!
Mrs. Schriks says

ajima says
Hi Felicia, did you receive my email? I sent it to you yesterday. Please check your inbox and spam folder and let me know if you see it.
Brenda D. says
Ajima—- Your E-book is more than it’s weight in gold…..absolutely amazing. I just purchased and skimming through it briefly, can’t wait to get home and read it throughly. I became aware of “green smoothies” a year or so ago and did attempt at incorporating it into my lifestyle thus the purchase of the Healthmaster with it’s receipes and also purchased an e-book with green smoothie receipes but your e-book totally inspire me. Thank you for the time and effort in compiling the information….it’s worth much more than what you have priced it which says alot about you. You are a Blessing!!!!!!!
P.S. I am participating in the Green Smoothie Challenge.
ajima says
I’m soo glad to hear that. I really worked to make it a great book that was very usable. Thanks again Brenda
ajima says

I don’t have a purchase from a Marie Nelson. Is it under another first name? Please email me at info@blackwomenlosingweight.com
Tam says
Hi everyone,
I’m new to the site. I like what I have been reading about the January challenge and I’m up for it. I have a goal of 50 lbs to loose by May. Does anyone think that’s overdoing it? Can lactose free milk be used in the smoothies?
ajima says
That is 10 pounds per month. I would call it ambitious. Most of the time I suggest an ambitious goal of 5-7 pounds per month if you have less than 100 pounds total to lose. If you have more than 100 pounds to lose and currently weight more than say 275…10 pounds per month could be a more reasonable goal because the pounds will come off quickly in some cases when you have a lot to lose and you do a lot of cardio and eat very clean.
Just remember, there is nothing wrong with slow weight loss.
Vanessa Roberts says
I am a diabetic, how will the green smoothies affect my sugar levels..? I did purchase the book.
ajima says
Vanessa, you have to treat the sugar in fruit as you’ve been directed by your doctor. Do you eat fresh fruit normally?
Vanessa Roberts says
I also already had the Montel Williams Living Well Blender. Is that good enough?
Brenda D. says
Vanessa…….I have Montel’s living well health master and yes, it works great
I’m actually finally getting my money’s worth because of this challenge……whooooohoooo… lol
Kimmy says
Hi Ajima! I’m so excited to purchase your book! I’ve been using a few times a week but since I love it so much I will do the juice challenge by replacing 2 meals with juice. Question, if I blend the juice in the morning will it be okay till lunch time? Which is about 7hrs later… ? I heard that the juice will lose its nutrients 3hrs after blended, is that true?? Thanks!
ajima says
Hi Kimmy, It will still be good within 24 hours. Just keep it in the fridge in a air tight container. I suggest a glass mason jar.

I am loving this juicing challenge. My first week I lost 4 pds just by replacing 2 meals. My goal for January was to lose 5 pds total. Looks like I’ll be ahead of my goal. I have more energy to exercise longer and I’m a lot more regular now : ) My husband has started and loves it as well.
Thanks!

I have been doing the challenge from the beginning. I have not changed my eating habits except adding the smoothies to ensure I get more greens in my diet. At first I noticed I had more energy and less craving for sweets. Now that I’m 27 days in I’ve noticed MAJOR constipation issues. Can you elaborate on a) why this might be happening so late in the game and b) should I be “dieting” to experience the weight loss so many other reader are raving about. So far I have lost NADA and i wonder if it’s because I’m not eliminating as often as I should.
P.S. I can see myself continuing on beyond the challenge. I really do enjoy green smoothies.
Thanks!

Sure Chanel, One I’d like to suggest a natural fiber laxative. What is likely happening is that the fiber that you’re eating is not passing due to meat or dairy intake. Something is stopping up your system. The other issue could be that you are not rotating your greens. If you are only doing kale or only doing spinach for example, some people have tolerance issues to an acid that is in those two greens. Only eating them can cause some digestive issues temporarily. I would ask how regularly you were having movements before the challenge (daily? every other day?). If you’re not moving your bowels, it’s going to be hard to lose weight. My major suggestion is that you up your water intake by an additional 24 oz per day, take a fiber laxative powder 1-2 times per day and stop eating dairy and meat for 3-5 days.

The ordered ebook was ordered under my old account donnahayes4@msn.com I won’t receive it there because I no longer have access to that account anymore. Thanks
