Update: I just want to thank everyone who has participated in our 14 Day Smoothie Detox. Please let us know how the plan worked for you. Leave a comment on Facebook, email us or post a comment below about your results.
It’s time for our August 2014 Challenge – This month we will be doing a 14 Day Smoothie Detox.
We will use smoothies for meal replacement and to give our bodies a rest from processed, chemical filled foods. We will detoxify, experience more energy, and get control of your eating habits by letting go of foods we’ve become addicted to.
I’ve created a FREE 21 page guide to help you learn how homemade smoothies can help you eliminate toxins and lose weight. It details the detox and includes 30 recipes. We are giving this information to you free of charge because we want you to succeed on your wellness journey and have exposure to information like this.
Starting Date: Anytime within the first week of August.

14 Day Smoothie Detox Challenge – The goal of this challenge is to have healthy, homemade smoothies make up 60-100% of your daily diet.
For this challenge, you can use any combination of fruits, veggies, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, spices (like ginger and cinnamon), whole grains and veggie-based protein powder that you choose. If you can buy organic, that’s great. If not, conventional produce is fine, including frozen fruits and veggies. Just make sure there is no sugar, cream or salt added. If you can get your nuts, seeds and grains unroasted, that is great as well but not a requirement to see the benefits of this detox challenge. I encourage you to drink green smoothies with lots of fresh leafy greens, like kale and spinach. Get the details today.

Can you still work out during the detox? I’ve been trying to commit to working out and I don’t want to mess up my groove LOL.
Ajima Jackson says
Yes you can, but you need to make sure that you are doing meal replacement. What I mean is that if you need 1500 calories a day and plenty protein to workout, then you need to make your smoothies equal that as well. You may need to add protein powder (unflavored, natural), greens and veggies as well as fruit to make this happen.

Can you do this if you’re diabetic?

I am so ready to start I am a diabetic
Ajima Jackson says
Be careful. This may not be the detox for you if you can’t control your sugar levels with this much fruit. Please speak with your doc about it and closely monitor your blood sugar.
Stacy says
I see that you said you are a dibetic. I have to tell you Diabetes scare the life out of me. I lost my mother to diabetes complications when she was just 59 yrs old.
I found out that i was diabetic in 2009 when my mother died 2 years later it changed my life. I try and eat as much as possible organic, the last 2 summers i planted my own organic garden and simply changed the way i eat.
What changed mylife was Wheatgrass, and turmeric, after mixing wheat grass in my smothies or with apple juice drinking 2-4 oz every morning. At earthfare you can actually buy frozen shots. I am not protomting any prodcuts or brnads. But just wanted to let you know that after aprx 4 months my meds were reduced somewhere between 9month to a year I am fully off diabetic meds. Haven had to take any since Nov 2013. Please consider trying it.

This sounds great, I want to lose as much weight as possible by September 20th for a fashion show I am a part of. I exercise and will start the smoothies today. Is it anything else I need to do that can speed up my process? I am excited because this is my first fashion show I will be walking in and I am excited because I was asked to be a part of it.

i’m on day 5 and so far so good. I choose option 2…1 meal a day. did for get and tasted a piece of fried fish, but I wont stop ill keep moving. going out with friends tomorrow for bday party. worried abt consuming alcohol….maybe just a glass of wine mixed with club soda will be ok…
Ajima Jackson says
How about just club soda and juice…no alcohol. Beyond the detox, there is a lot of sugar in many liquors. Bacardi Rum…there is a 0 calorie plain version so when in doubt get that with the lowest calorie thing that will make it tolerable. That is if you MUST drink. There is nothing wrong with sipping water. 🙂 Blessings
Emerald says
I say you gotta do something you never done to obtain something you never had. Now I don’t know how much weight you want to loose or how long you have tried. But if you are like the majority who have tried and failed. I say just let go of usual habits. It’s nothing wrong with not having any alcohol. I agree a club soda with lime is the way to go. Form new habits of dining and eating out. Gain that control that food doesn’t control you. Then later that glass of wine or drink will actually be just ONE glass or ONE drink rather then one drink turning into more.
Dianne says
i’m coming down with a cold. any suggestions for a smoothie that will make me feel better? yesterday I used OJ not badd…
Ajima Jackson says
I suggest vitamin C and fiber. Orange, mango, carrots, strawberries and lemon. Add some flax seed, chia seed or wheat germ to your smoothies as well to flush the system.
Sharon says
I’ve been doing the challenge from day one! The smoothie guide is awesome!!!
Emerald says
I love this smoothie challenge. I had to restart it over and over but finally keeping with it. I know it can be seen as a negative thing cause people say we you can’t drink smoothies for life. But what I like about it, it takes away those cravings for certain foods. It takes away those desires that make you over eat. It’s a way to retrain your mind into
Starting a healthy journey. I feel once you stop the smoothing challanage, then you are ready to be more cautious to what you put into your body. I like to do it for 30 days. I have 29 years of being miseducated with food. I must gain that control I’m order to achieve success.
Nesia says
I’m kind of frustrated and discouraged, I’m a mother of five so it’s kind of hard to keep up with the smoothie thing. I haven’t been able to find all the ingredients because they’re different everyday on top of that I still can’t seem to control my appetite even after the smoothies! I want the weight off but struggle with staying full!! Ugghhh!
Ajima Jackson says
Hi Nesia, The ingredients and recipes I post and the ones in the guide are just a suggestion…a list to get you started (as noted in the guide). You don’t have to make those. I’m just sending them out as a courtesy. It is key that you find a set of simple recipes that you can make with ingredients you can afford to make this plan work for you. As long as you are eating fruits, veggies…real foods, you are good. You will not be eating junk food, fast food, soda…and that’s where the detox comes from. You could have a set of 7-8 recipes that work for you and rotate them. Sometimes I may just drink the same recipe all day.
Nesia says
OK,thank you so much. I really want to follow along with everyone else I’m going to try to find the extra ingredients. Any suggestions for me,I want something that is going to help me “go” on the regular and also give me energy to last thru my exercise and burn more calories. Thanks for responding it means a lot! 🙂

Ajima Jackson says

Racheal says
How many serving is the smoothies recipes
Ajima Jackson says
They are one to two servings. If depends on how much you need to drink to get full. They are meant to replace a meal.

I just finished my 7 day Lady Soma Detox and I have to say I am SUPER impressed with the results. I lost 20 pounds and 15 inches. I had gained a bunch of weight (pure fat) in the first couple months of marriage, but now my clothes fit again and I’m back in amazing shape! I have already recommended this to so many people because of my results.
